This texture pack, Apocalypse Now was created by xironwarrior99x and Hikachan.The idea behind this texture is to represent the aftermath and subsequent survival of a nuclear war or a global outbreak with weapons,tools and building materials made from items scavenged from the wasteland.The landscape is designed to look like the day after such a cataclysmic event with scorched and dying trees and contaminated water supply.The sky is bleak and dismal and the sun and moon have changed as well.
This Texture Pack was designed with the intent of peaking your collective interest and not harsh comments. Any and all constructive criticism is welcomed, as well as ideas in regards to any textures needing improvement. If any can knows how to remove the leaves completely without leaving the blocks behind let me know please as you can see the outlines of the leaf blocks are still there in the picture.
All Screen Shots are taken from the Zanarkand (Apocalypse Now) Multiplayer sever. This server is owned by Hikachan and xironwarrior99x and is a close server. If you are a serious builder and will follow our rules to the "T" you may be allowed to join.
((EDIT: This thread will be continually updated but I'm not sure if I know how to do the armor and mobs since you can't just cut and paste those. That is a little above my skill level u.u))
I really like your dirt texture, however with that said... I'm just not sure about it. I mean a single block of dirt looks great, however a wall of dirt with each block having the same exact distinct roots featured on it, might just be overkill maybe. I understand theres nothing you can do about it, it's the way the game is.
Ill do what i can to make the chest look like ruined storage containers. Also ill get right on fixing the dirt. Also when i get home from work I am going to post some pictures of the inventory and work benches etc.
It looks great. I dunno if you PC gamed in the 80's but the games were crazy kool. I didn't play the games when they were popular. but i got a neat collection now. Its a compliment for someone to say it looks old school.
Glad you liked it, I'm hoping to update this pack every sunday so there will be more content out at the end of the week. I will how ever be posting updates hopefully every day to give basic backgrounds of whats happening! :biggrin.gif:
In regards to the leaves, I suggest doing something like what I did for my haunted pack. Use black to draw the dead branches instead of leaves.

Otherwise it looks awesome! It makes me think of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Fallout games. (Post nuclear death games)
1) do you need the MC patcher if you have the most recent update of the beta?
2) if you do need it, where do you get it?
