Hey, I'm currently making a texture pack. For the sun, I used a feature in GIMP to create a sun similar to painterly's "Radiant Pulsar" sun. However, in-game it just shows up as a white, solid, ugly mis-shaped circle. How do I fix this? Painterly's works fine but it solidifies mine. Nothing is wrong of what I see, but why doesn't it support partial transparency in game?
use black as the background color for the sun and moon. it treats that as transparency for some stupid reason.
Not sure its transparent so much as matching the background color of the sky. I think the sun and moon are drawn first against a black background and then the rest of the sky is drawn over it (This assumption is based entirely on the fact that the stars go in FRONT of the moon). So transparency wouldn't matter anyway since there is nothing behind it.
