Hello! This is my first post so bear with me. So recently i've been working on a personal texture pack, or atleast the terrain. I have the terrain all set and done and so I save it and replace the original one. So I open Minecraft, go to the texture pack button, it's not there. So I click the open folder and nothing is in it, so I tried moving the terrain.png into it but that didn't work. My question is what do I do to get my terrain.png to effect the game, where do I put it?
Thanks!
put it into a .zip file.
All texture packs must be in .zip files in order for the game to recognize them.
If you want an icon for your pack create a pack.png and put that in the .zip too
If you want to change the text that shows up next to your pack make a pack.txt and put that in the .zip also.
As a final note, those files need to be at the TOP of the .zip
If you open the .zip you should see:
terrain.png
pack.png
pack.txt
NOT
somefolder/
