I like the idea of an albino spider, but you could include one of the other ones as an alt.
Oh, and I feel your pain on wanting to be done with something that you've been working on forever. I used to do custom pixel art for another project, and I just wanted to be finished with it. XD
Yea! And I will definitely include another option if I decide to go with the albino one.
It's really cool, but I think you should change the diamond ore, it looks like you took a refined cut out diamond, and just slapped it on the rock.
It doesn't really make sense for naturally formed diamonds.
Thanks for the feedback. I took that into consideration before when I first made the diamond that way, and I still like the idea regardless of the inaccuracy of the idea. You can manually switch the diamond with my alternate one provided in the terrain.png if you'd like. Otherwise, I'll be sure to make it clear when I add another diamond option in the future!! :smile.gif:
Just downloaded, and I plan to keep an eye on this to see where it goes.
First impression - I like the menu button effect. Seriously, it actually struck me as being very neat. Hey, little things like that really make a pack stand out in my mind. :smile.gif:
It does really evoke the mid/southwest feel, and when a map has some really fantastic mesas and rock formations, this is fantastic. The only two things I dislike at this point is the diamond ore (which I'll likely just edit on my own) and the extremely vibrant greens. They just feel a little over the top. Still, two thumbs up!
Also, just as an idea - though I'm not sure how feasible in 16x this is - tumbleweeds for the dead bushes which were just added?
I'm glad you like it!! I'll definitely mess around with the biome colors and see what I can do about the green. But one thing, keep an eye out, if you haven't already, there are small random splotches of trees with very autumn/red colored leaves. It's pretty cool! :smile.gif:
It's awesome to see a pack with such a simple, but unique theme. Really love it. As someone who just left such a climate in favor of greener landscapes this pack makes me weirdly nostalgic :tongue.gif:
Also, for your development schedule I vote that (d) should come first.
You're welcome to use the picture as reference to make your own, or you can wait till I release it and download it. Maybe I'll use that logo as the final one.. :biggrin.gif:
I was just playing around with the logo at first, not sure if I'll use that yet.
Do you still have the logo with all the ores in it?
So whilst showing off my own creations, and sharing a shapshot of your texture pack, here's a night rise of my diamond structure on the roof of my Birch wood house. Weeds and wheat growing at the front.
EDIT: Also to give a bit of variety (I dunno, you might appreciate snapshots), here's a brick room with a few paintings (which look awesome btw) and glowstone. With GUI on to give that a show off.

WOW! That's awesome!! I love seeing stuff from other people :smile.gif: . Unfortunately, I've been busy with a little ***** called life. And I have been meaning to update, and this helps motivate me to do so soon! There might be a big revamp of the texture pack, to make it a little cleaner and less noisier in some areas.. not sure yet. Thanks for the awesome screens, loved them.

Any change of making a 32x or a 64x?
Maybe. And if not, I'm sure someone will volunteer to do it.

Well, whatever you do end up doing, your choices. I'm quite happy with what is there, only 16x texture pack I think looks lovely, and is complete.
I wish I was in this :C
