I'm sorry guys, but this is user error. The pack works perfectly for me using MCPatcher 2.1.1 and 1.8 final.
My suggestion:
This will remove any mods, and will require you download the .jar again, just a warning.
Go into .minecraft/
Delete the /bin/ folder.
Run Minecraft.exe, let it download the game again.
Run MCPatcher 2.1.1.
Enjoy.
P.S. There was a bug with MCPatcher during the 1.8 preview that was causing it to revert to a prior version when run. All your problems are probably being caused by MCPatcher doing something like this. Deleting your /bin/ folder *will* fix it, if so.
I'm using 1.8 Beta with 2.1.1 patcher and Soartex 1.1.1 and it works fine. Before I patched with 2.1.1 I saw the same errors...
Yep, I was having the same issue. I basically backed up my saves and reinstalled everything, including MCpatcher. Works just fine now.
I'd like to add that this is the best texture pack I've ever seen. Terrific work. I did make a couple of changes: metal ladder, took the rivets out of the iron block, changed the glowstone so that it looks more like a fluorescent light. I think I may redo the clay from scratch, though I may just turn it brown.
There are some bricks in this texture pack that aren't at the same resolution, and they look quite odd in context when used in the game.
Otherwise it's just about perfect. Really well done.

I've seen these posts in multiple topics, all of them have your own download link of the pack. This is illegal. Most artists, including the one for this pack, do not allow other people to distribute their work.

I love this texture pack but minecraft just updated to 1.8.1 and the texture pack isnt compatible!!! Kill me now! Please tell me your working on an update!
This isn't perfect, but I adapted Soar's chest texture to the new format. Especially my latch is really bad, and there's a flickering but that's happening with all the HD packs I've used. Still, I think it's better than the default while we wait for Soar to update it.

In the top right should be a 5 second countdown, after that it should say "Skip Ad" in black with a yellow background. Click that. It works fine for me.
Nope. It's greyed out and if I click it an error message pops up telling me I need to complete a survey first. And I would rather not risk that because I don't trust adf.ly at all. >_>
That's odd. In that case, check your PMs.

Just in case you didn't understand, he meant you need the HD patch.
If you see fire and water textures on objects it means that you hadn't installed the HD patch so that HD texture packs can show properly.
