Is this pack usable for beta 1.6? I really want to use this texture pack, I'm unsure if it 1.6 compatible, though.
Yes, it works in 1.6. Everything in terrain.png has a texture, it's just some of the newer stuff (tall grass, hatches) are just a resized default graphic, not a custom Soar one yet. Most other things (items, armor, etc) use the default Minecraft graphics, which I personally like.
This is a favorite texture pack for me, excellent work!
I'm having an odd issue though - the last several iterations of this texture pack I've rebuilt with vonDoom's mob textures and they've always worked fine, but this time it just shows up grayed out in the list of texture packs - I've checked permissions and everything is identical to other working packs. I put them together the same way I have in the past and just not having any luck.
Obviously I'm missing something - can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to fix it?
Thank you so much for using my texture pack showcase! Sorry about the somewhat low quality it was one of my first videos and I was messing with the settings to see what resolution worked best. Also this is one of the best texture packs for minecraft so keep up the good work.
Thank you, TheThrashingDolphin.
An animation will support the texture author. A good job.
I think that I would also like to maintain creation.
You can also place the zombie and skeleton box inside a building lit up by torches. Should work decent enough if you make a spawner for them.
Or use singleplayer commands to simply spawn a load of mobs. You'dd have to be carefull with the aggresive ones though ;D
I made and changed new side grass over a total of 50 hours or more in two weeks.
It was carried out in re-creation and fine tuning repeatedly.
However, many people do not read this thread. And it will be thought that I am lazy.
It is somewhat uneasy.

Der. I keep randomly forgetting you have to compress the contents of the folder with your texture data, not the folder itself >_<
i love your texturepack it's amazing tried to make on myself but it was harder then i thought and i wouldn't be better then yours anyway. but, you changed the gold :sad.gif: the gold looked amazing but you changed it, could you change that back? i'm just asking.
Do you think you could make a texture for the new saplings and shrubs??
thanks alot
It's very easy to revert to the old texture on your own. Just open the old version of the terrain.png, select the gold texture, and copy+paste it over the one in the new terrain.png. I personally like the new one better, and I'm sure Soar made the change because he did too so I doubt he'll change it back.
For Soar (and fans), I made a texture for the Connected Textures Mod to match with the original Soartex glass texture. So far I've just done the glass, as that's the only thing that I care about. I can do the rest if people want.
I'm not posting this anywhere else, all credit for original glass texture goes to Soar. Soar, if you want to include this in a future update, or modify it, it's all yours. You can have full credit. If you have an issue with this, let me know and I will take it down immediately. I am not gaining anything from this, and I'm not including it in any other project. I just made it for my personal use and thought I would share. Thanks again for such a wonderful pack. :smile.gif:
Note: The texture only contains the glass change. I only installed that component of the CTM mod for my use. If you install the bookshelf, chest, and sandstone components, this will not look right unless you edit those textures as well. Right now it's just a resize of the default template, so they really look horrible but the game won't display them if you don't install that component. Right now it's just using the Soartex textures for those 3 items.
This version of CTM is no longer available, and as such the link is useless.
Yes, Photoshop works fine for making changes to these files.
Also, my link above... forget about it. The author of the CTM mod changed back to an old version that uses a different format for the glass texture so it won't work unless you happened to download 1.2 when it was up. :sad.gif:
Hope this is okay, and if not I will promptly remove it, but I decided to go ahead and throw something together for the trap doors. It isn't perfect, but it will do as a placeholder until Soar updates it. Anyone who wants to, feel free to use it.
If you'd like, I'd be happy to fix some of the errors on the front page for you, make it a bit more flowing (I'm pretty good at English).
PM if you'd like me to do that for you.

I am negative for adding to soartex the parts which other persons made.
Since I cannot speak English, I require time and effort for exchanges of a right or updating very much.
Moreover, unless it sees the completeness of finished goods, it cannot make a definite promise to add.
Therefore, introduction was added to the top page for the time being.
I do not understand introduction of Connected Textures Mod one now, either. lol
Well, it is that I can welcome all the modification if creation of the patch to Soartex1.0.2.zip is possible ...
If ctm.EXE and soartex1.0.2.zip are put on the same directory and ctm.EXE is run, it will be displayed as normal termination.
If it succeeds, ctm.png will appear into soartex1.0.2.zip.
This is good!

I was also using that software.
However, since especially the spider etc. are difficult, I am troubled. :sad.gif:

Probably, this is great help. Thank you!

I considered such a thing recently.

Do you plan to update
Saplings, Trap doors, grass, and shrubs?
Thanks!

For those of you that use Soartex and CTM, you can get the file here, just rename it to ctm.png and drop it in the Soartex 1.0.2.zip. http://i809.photobucket.com/albums/zz16/sprucewow/ctm4soar.png

In addition, after some extended time with the mod, it began to show a lot of visual errors and I have decided to stop using it. :sad.gif:
