Yeah, I asked ALL the mojang crew (Except Jeb, I couldn't find him) and they said that the people saying it was to come out right after PAX were insane. Jeb has to work out the NPCs too.

Welp, we got textures today (Me and Chal already retextured them and cant wait to release them with 1.8) AND it seems like the estimated release date for 1.8 is September 8th! Along with the 1.8 textures, the Texture pack will also be going V.1.0 (It's actually at 0.6 right now) meaning I have finished the armor! Also, the pack will have full BetterThanWolves support although I don't know for sure if I will be keeping up on that since I don't play single player much and Cuthor made the textures for it. I will try though as well as Aether and the Balkons Weapons Mod. I'm excited guys. This updates gonna be huge and great, I can't wait for us to all experience it together!

Hello. I've been playing the game for a long time, but this is the first pack I've seen that I like. Unfortunately, I can't get it to work. I hope this isn't because of some mistake I'm making because I'm new to the process. However, I've read through a lot of the comments on this thread, found people experiencing similar problems, and yet had no luck in trying to imitate their fixes. I download the pack, leave it zipped,and put it in the textures folder, but the picture is just the standard one in gray and when I try to play, everything stays the regular textures. I'm sorry if I sound like just another confused noob, but I'd really appreciate any help anyone can offer so that I can finally enjoy this amazing looking pack. Thanks!

just look up mcpatcher HD fix on google and click the first link then just use it and then open u minecraft and go into texture packs and click your texture pack

oh and xai do you think i could get the updated version in advance since i have enlisted in the military and i am leaving the fifth so i won't be able to try the texture pack T_T

Hey guys, sorry i haven't posted here in a while, i've been hard at work on the new textures for 1.8, as well as Balkons Weapon mod ( http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/211517-173-balkons-weaponmod-v61/ ) And i do have to say these new textures are looking mighty fine! This next update will be HUGE, so i hope you are gonna like it! :biggrin.gif:

I'll try to keep the Better Than Wolves support as up to date as I can, but I can't make any promises once school starts back up. I'll try my hardest though :smile.gif:

No.1 -- I really love this line since he started doing this as a remix of "Frenden's Graphics Pack"
No.2 -- If I change a few things such as color, shape...etc then it becomes my pack and not yours.

We are instating this rule because we feel that we have put lots of time and effort into this texturepack to make it our own. While yes this did begin as a remix, we ended up changing every single texture in here. We feel it is our right to claim ownership of our work and not let other people claim it as their own. Please, this is not a place to tell us that our pack is a copy of frendens, as that is the past and the pack has changed.

(Probably bad) Example: Changing the level of bass on a song using an equalizer doesn't make it your song.

I was going to say something smart about how there are no new ideas. There are only new ways of making them felt.

but then I remembered that people don't always understand that.

In no way do i say his pack is bad or that he didn't work hard on this. I am just saying that if i design a pack with his theme/design in mind when I make it what is the harm? its not like i would just rename his pack and move on. But he himself did the same thing and yet I am the one catching the heat for saying something.

On a side note I do enjoy his pack. I like the color and design. and while yes there are things I would change. That is something I will not ask him to do, but i will do myself. For those who like that great and for those who don't great. I am not telling anyone how to think or what to believe so please breath and calm down. its a forum about a video game.

I'm sorry if you feel that way, but our pack is not open to remixing. It is what we have decided. While yes we have done that in the past, but we are our own pack now and stand with our decision to not allow remixing. Feel free to mess with the pack for your own personal use, but we will not allow remixes.

ayup, I agree with the crossed out stuffs. It was wrong, I had permission to to use textures at the point of asking but using ones AFTER that point was not allowed and I messed up and it almost cost me my pack. I made it so people can't remix it for not just the reason of stealing work and such but also because I don't want to put anyone through what I had to go through. I don't want to make enemies out of former fans of my pack. By all means use my pack for inspiration but when making a texture, start from a clean slate, a 16x16 white square and go from there.

But hey sly, im sorry if im being kinda tough on you, but im just standing with our decision here. Im not trying to accuse you of anything. By all means, go ahead and make a texture pack! all im saying is not to use our textures in it. Also, feel free to private message me if you want any help in making a pack, im not the most knowledgeable in it, but ill do all i can to help you. :smile.gif:

Hey guys, doing some playtesting of the 1.8 textures today, They are looking GOOD! Keep a look out for a teaser in the near future ;D

I'm quite honestly surprised that people are still bringing up the "Frenden" issue. It's been resolved, the textures are completely new and original. And they look great to boot. Lets just stop beating the dead horse and bury it once and for all.
