After playing around with the pack, I've done some tinkering to suit my own needs. One thing I did was edit the chicken. Solid blue chickens felt unnatural to me, so I gave it a gradient white-to-blue pattern.
I also reapplied some of the stuff from the old pack versions for my personal use, like the wool patterns. I understand the whole Frenden problem, but for my personal use I will continue to mash the two packs together for the foreseeable future. I do definitely like the new cobble, sand, and sandstone textures. Although I would like to see a version of sandstone that uses the three different textures. I switched the clay with a gray version, for personal taste, but I absolutely love the new tool icons. I really hope to see what you two do with the other armor sets, because the leather and tools are just excellent.
I prefer a darker lava, so I use a more blackened version than the one in this pack, but the water is pretty much spot on. A relaxing light blue is exactly what I want in water.
The diagonal lines in the pumpkins and cacti suit the spiral theme excellently. And the uneven rails are very nice. The gold rail lines are less to my taste, since powered rails are made with gold and you use yellow lines for your ladders.
Overall, though, I really like what the both of you are doing here. If I had to pick one preset texture pack to use from these forums, it would be this one.
(And yeah, that's a dark Link recolor of this work of art from captainosaka. I feel obligated to share this with a fellow Zelda fan.)
Wow! Awesome review! Im glad you like our pack :biggrin.gif: One question though that you brought up. I have searched the web a bit, but i cant seem to figure out why sandstone has those three textures? I would really love to know, because i hope i can use that to make this pack even better! :biggrin.gif: Thanks!
I noticed that the bucket texture is one pixel too far to the left, mind fixing it? These sorta things really bug me for some reason. Also, could you make an alternative zombie? The current ones don't really fit in with the cartoony look.

The bucket thing will be fixed for sure, and the zombie thing, Im going to update the current zombie eventually but he will still be a redead.
It's my pleasure to give extensive input to texture packs I truly enjoy. Too many posts in texture pack and mod threads are simply empty praise, and while I do know how important it is to show appreciation to the people who produce such excellent content, I feel like it's a waste to not say something of more substance as appreciation.
Below is the chicken texture I modified, and a screenshot. You gentlemen have my full permission and, indeed, encouragement to use it if you want to. I generally feel that my creations are not of sufficient note for me to claim ownership or control of them, so I consider this texture to be free to use by all who want to.

Forgot to reply to this question initially, but sandstone has a top, side, and bottom texture. I don't know why, exactly, it has those three textures, but there you go. I don't really know, either, whether it's possible to make truly worthwhile use of those three textures. But it does seem wasteful, in a way, to not do so. Just my own views on the subject, though.

Wow! I quite like how you did the chicken, i will definitely think about using it, and if i did, i would probably add more blue into the gradient... But thank you for the info on the sandstone! I remember when Xaiwaker had normal sand texture on the top for sandstone, that was pretty hard to distinguish sandstone from normal sand... i think just having a completely sandstone block looks fine for now.. i may look into that though! Again, thanks a ton for your words on our pack, we love hearing what people like and dislike about our pack, so we can change it to make it the best possible pack we can! :biggrin.gif:
One thing I did check was what the original sandstone texture looks like. I don't know if I've ever even seen the default sandstone before then, but it was informative. From the looks of it, the default sandstone has a lighter-looking sand texture on top, the cobble-looking sandstone texture on the sides, and a more unpatterned sandstone texture on the bottom. Obviously the way the default textures look can't just be transferred to the aesthetic style of any texture pack, Xaiwaker included, but maybe the default can be something of an inspiration for a new take on the textures.
I'm glad you like my simple gradient edit. Any modifications you two decide to make will, in all likelihood, only improve it; so I hope to see what you do with it.

+1 Rep =D
Ill look into it asap thanks! Main thing were doing currently is the mobs, just have sheep and spider to finish then they are done and will be made public. Armors are going to follow close behind that =D
