I thought of this the other day and thought it was a great idea. Unfortunately, I have no artistic skills whatsoever.

Sounds like you want Aza's Arid pack, but at a lower resolution.

I guess so. I don't know though.
It has that dry, desert look down, but it doesn't really give you that John Wayne sorta feel.
It needs a little more style.

i actually did request a wild west pack a while ago, and i agree that it would be awesome and should be over 64x64 because it looks so artificial,

Nononono, 32x32 and UNDER. I just hate the way most 64x and higher res textures look.
