This pack will work well, and honestly could have great potential to it. Don't let others stop you from at least trying some of the dirt, cobble, trees and sand. Post pics of some of the work you have done and then we can start with our criticism.
I think it's cool that you're making this pack, but RuneScape in general really makes me angry so I won't be downloading.

Everybody calm down. The release of this pack will cause no harm to you or those you love. Just because Runescape is played by a younger audience than most doesn't mean the art can't be transferred here.
Don't make this pack. Why would anyone want Runescape like graphics when cleary default minecraft looks better. Even when Runescape is on max settings. Also I play Runescape and the lack of WASD, not moving square by squre, a better camrea dissappoints me. Only if Jagex would get smart and put RS on another engine, then it could actually compete with other mmos

hey! i woul acctualyl love to see how this pack might come out if you dont like it dont use it it is a simple as that..plus! runescape is one of the top mmos in the world.

If you want to make this pack you should, and to be honest, if you work well on it it could look really good, Also... You said you wanted some suggestions: Wooden stuff (pick, axe, etc.) would be bronze & diamond could be adamant or something. If you know how to change mobs, you can base spiders of giant spiders in Runescape, and stuff like that. So, yeah good luck with it, and just like everyone else said, use something like Paint.net, GIMP, or Photoshop.

The sluts that ***** graphics - it really doesn't matter how *unique* the graphics are for runescape. The whole purpose of a Runescape texture pack is so that it can REPRESENT and LOOK-ALIKE to that of Runescape. So shut up and go cry about your dislike for the texturepack somewhere that isn't here.
The second group, are the people that either play other MMOs.. example World of Warcraft. Which is a **** game, it's textures are terrible for the engine it's using, and I really don't care how anyone responds to that. On top of me saying it though, I will say that I have played the game. So don't go saying I haven't tried it. I've heard it all before. Or the ones that struggled to get into it back when the graphics were terrible. Hence the two pictures a poster showed previously - showing the old and the new graphics.
The point remains. You make a pack of a game, not for some importance in its own detail, but for the fact that it will resemble the game itself. Speaking of. I see more people posting up (attempting to post up) Runescape packs than I do for games like WoW. So what are you saying now?

Guys, please. This guy is trying to do his best, and might need some pointing in the right direction. I, personally, hate Runescape. I once created a new account and got bored after 9 mins of playing. On the other hand, a Runeccape texture pack might go down nicely for me and many other people as well. Even if you tell him that a Runescape texture pack is, "runecape sucks if you play it scretw you" Then, well, stfu, and that's only your opinion. A whole new look and feel is what texture packs are supposed to be for.
Oh, and by the way, use Paint.NET, it's completely free and keeps transparency, unlike paint.
