NOTE: This texture pack is called MiniPack because my name is MiniM00se. NOT because it's small or anything. Just thought I'd say that.
Hello, everyone! A couple of my friends were making texture packs, so I decided to make my own! I figured since I sprite Pokemon, how bad could it be? :3 I didn't really go for any specific look or feel, I just went for it.
So far, all I have done is part of the terrain.png, so this is very much a WIP. After I finish the terrain, I'm doing items. I'm terrible at skinning, so I'll either just try my best at the mobs, or have someone else do them.
Btw, the current pack.png will be changed. I just didn't want to use that default one, so I quickly whipped something up.
If you like the pack/don't like something/don't like it at all, please leave a comment telling me what you like, don't like or want me to do. :3 I really appreciate the feedback, and it helps keep the topic alive. xD
SCREENSHOTS:
I don't have many screenshots atm, because I recently restarted my main world, and I'm not very far. I'll post more when I get them.
These were taken with MrMessiah's BetterLight and BetterGrass. I highly reccomend these mods. Basically, they make everything look (more) awesome. :biggrin.gif:

DOWNLOAD:
Well... here's the download. Click it, and download it. If you don't know how to use it, scroll down to the next section, "Installation".
Since this pack is 16x16, it's not too hard to use, especially if you've done it before. But, I wanted to give instructions just in case people who are new to texture packs want to use this.
1. Download MiniPack v1.zip 2. If you're on Windows, click Start, go to Run, type in %appdata%/.minecraft/texturepacks and click OK. This may be different if you're on a newer system than Windows XP.
Please, if you can, tell me where the file is on Windows 7/Vista and Mac so I can update the instructions. 3. Once that folder is open, just drag MiniPackv1.zip in to the texturepacks folder. 4. Open the Minecraft launcher and go to the menu. Click "Texture Packs and Mods". You should see MiniPack v1.zip on the screen. If you don't, you either did something wrong, or you need to scroll down to see it. To scroll down, click the screen (not on a texture pack) and drag upwards. If you want to go up, do that, but drag the mouse down instead. 5. Click on MiniPack v1.zip, so it is selected. Then click "Done", and start up your world/enter a server. The blocks should look different, and hopefully better. :biggrin.gif:
If for some reason, the texture pack didn't work, please tell me in this thread. Hopefully I'll be able to fix the problem or help you install it.
FUTURE PLANS:
I need to finish the terrain.png first, so here are the blocks I need to do: Saplings, iron/gold/diamond blocks, adminium (the current one is a placeholder. Don't ask :/), mushrooms, bookshelves, record player/note blocks, ladders, tilled soil, wheat, levers, redstone torches, pumpkins, netherstone, soul sand, lightstone, minecart tracks, dark wood, birch wood, jack-o-lanterns, cake, the new leaves, lapis lazuli blocks, lapis lazuli ore and sandstone. I'm also planning on redoing gravel, cause the current one is meh.
After that, I'll work on items.png, mobs, etc.
For anyone who doesn't like a certain block and wants to change it or something, here's the terrain.png:

-Added support for WildGrass, including lilypads (Only added to them to terrain.png, not redone the textures)

-Finished lapis lazuli ore and lapis lazuli blocks
-Finished sandstone
-Finished iron/gold/diamond blocks
-Finished jukeboxes and note blocks
v0.1 Update (25 downloads before next version) (Released Jan. 29, 2011)
- Released MiniPack at v0.1
MiniPack v1.08 is out! I updated the terrain.png, download link, added a link to old versions' downloads, and added a "History" section to show when each update came out, what happened in it and how many downloads it had.
In the actual texture pack, I've added lapis lazuli blocks and ore, iron/gold/diamond blocks, sandstone, jukeboxes and note blocks! :biggrin.gif:
Also, I started working on pine leaves (for fast graphics. Fancy graphics' pine leaves are the same), but didn't finish. I'm not sure how they'll look in-game, but hopefully it's not too much of a problem.
I've added quite a bit this update. First of all, I was going to release it yesterday, but my friend said that it would be cool if I released a mob skin each update! I liked the idea, so I decided to do a mob. I wasn't sure how to do some of them, because I didn't know which part of the image is which part of the mob. I did zombies in the end, because they're skin uses the same structure as the players. So, zombies now have a custom skin. It's definitely subject to change, because I'm not 100% happy with its current state.
As for block textures, I've done pumpkins/jackolanterns, birch wood, pine wood, pine leaves, ice, netherstone, soul sand, lightstone, a new version of adminium and I added WildGrass and lilypads to the terrain.png. They don't have custom textures (yet) though.
I also did the air bubbles, menu bars, menu background, in-game cursor and hot-bar.
And yes, the entire first post has been updated. Download link, history, etc.
