So I was making a texture pack, but that was until I found out two other people did it better than me, so I decided to try something else, and yes I did check and I didn't see anything like this.
Now I have never really liked the color red, so why should my favorite enemy in the game have these red eyes? So I decided to change this, and make my own. Now I love this, and I am pretty sure other people will, so I made five different color spider eyes for them to glow at you.
The Colors Are - Red (Original)
Blue
Aqua
Orange
Green
Purple
If you have a favorite color, and you don't see it here, just tell me and I will make it. The only bad thing I see about this is the fact that it will only work the original Minecraft texture pack. Now I can make it for other texture pack, but I will need the permission of the texture pack creator to tamper with his/her files.
I was just thinking about that at work, since my boss was talking about the Iraq war, I was thinking about putting white hats on the creepers and strapping a bomb on them, but I think people would call me racist, but I think it would be funny =/
Ooh, I like this idea. Since the Spider's glowing eyes cover its normal ones, and their eyes do not glow in light, I could modify the Spider base skin eyes to be blue so I can immediately tell if it's hostile.

Terrorist creepers have been discussed and shot down before. Not all turban wearers are armed with bombs and not all people armed with bombs are turban wearers. Don't perpetuate the goddamn stereotype, PLEASE.

for the spiders, the eyes actually blend with the light, i kept the spider_eyes.png red and made the eyes on the spider itself blue in the attempt to tell a hostile spider from a normal one, to my disappointment that's not how it works, so now i have spiders with blue eyes in light and red eyes in darkness but say you're in a cave and you put torches down as the spider comes towards you, you can watch the eyes turn from red to purple to blue and back as it passes the torch you just placed, but it will still chase you all the same cause the eye color doesn't determine hostility, it determines the level of light so it knows if the eyes need to glow or not
