Hello there friends and Zelda fans! Welcome to the Zelda 64 Project.
Excuse boring unorganized post. Revision coming later.
A fellow forum goer by the name of Khold started a zelda ocarina of time texture pack. Sadly he has abandoned it, or something, and left us without the WIP version. D: This made me want such a thing, so I decided to try to do it myself. I quickly came to find that some things are just not easy, and this is one of them!
My proposal is to gather help from you! I am organizing this out of pure need. I can't do this alone. The reason is that there are many textures in both Zelda OOT and Zelda Majora's Mask which could fit for textures in minecraft. The real issue is finding the best ones, and the ones that I can get the best angle of for a screenshot. If you have a new/better texture for the pack, please post it! Especially things like mobs that move. I will make sure the credit is given as it is needed, so no worries about me stealing your hard earned work. The size is 64x64 pixels. Keep that in mind. :wink.gif:
How can you do this? If you own a rom/emulator version of LOZ:OOT or LOZ:MM, please go back into your best save files and grab pictures! I suggest you try to align your view as best you can for a straight picture.
Finished list(If a better texture is found, please post to replace the old one):
-logs
-birch logs
-wood
-red mushroom
-grass top(grayscaled)
-grass side
-dirt(untilled&unwatered)
-ladder
-wood door
-metal door
-cobblestone
captured list(screenshot taken, final texture not made):
-sign
-bubbles
-logs top/bottom
-several potential pictures
-menu GUI
-inventory GUI
-letters and symbols
-fence
-lightstone(maybe)
-stick
-white wool
-spider(maybe)
-seeds
-stew(maybe)
-stick
-stone pressure pad
-fire(maybe)
-water(maybe)
-sandstone(maybe)
thanks, I just posted up the terrain file currently. Its pretty skimpy but I am sure it will eventually get most of the blocks done. I honestly think some things will just have to have nothing though(like redstone dust)

So you say 1.4 is fail because you don't know how to update your server? WTF
Thats like saying all cars fail because you don't know how to put gas in them.
well I have been worrying about real life and stuff, but I am hoping to be able to progress further in the game for better textures. I really do need help though.

there isn't really enough yet to make an unfinished list...Once that point comes sure I will make it. But what I have on the first post in the pic is what I got.

I am having some strange issue where having the terrain.png in a zip file in the texture packs folder causes minecraft to not work. the image is 1024x1024 pixels. It should be fine right?

I am pretty excited to see this completed <3 As the post above describes, all of the others are abandoned D=<br/>
If you want, I could help you with this, I would be more than glad to help =)
Also, check out my texture dump thread here. It will probably help you get textures for your pack <3

http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=16966 Another cool zelda pack, not from the 64, but it is still pretty sweet. It also links to other places as well.
WIN!
