odd haven't had a update in 19 days =( i like updates means a new thing to download and explore
Heh, sorry.
I was first waiting for Notch to update the game, but now I'm on vacation, so I can't do much for a week or so.
(Also Terraria is awesome and I can't stop playing it)
May 28th, 2011
Added the stuff in minecraft 1.6:
--Wildgrass
--desert shrubs
--hatch
--forgot the map icon
More gui stuff:
--menu buttons
--health, armor, breath meters
--quickbar
This is getting dangerously close to having everything textured, just some mobs and the armor now! Before I do those tho, I think I'd like to fix up a few blocks here and there, specifically: clay bricks, sandstone, water, tree top, refined ore, and the breaking animation. I'll also have a look over some of the things you guys have been suggesting, such as the animals and the furnace.
But now, I need another break. This texture pack is extremely time consuming for me, and The Witcher 2 isn't going to play itself!
Every time that someone on the support forums doesn't say anything after I tell them a possible solution, I assume that they are having too much fun enjoying their fixed Minecraft to reply.
I've been wondering, did you actually use clay for the the textures? If so, how much money did you freaking spend on all that clay??!?
Yes, all of the textures (save the placeholders for the refined ore), originally started with proper plasticine. It didn't cost that much though, as the tiles are quite small and this stuff is pretty cheap. The clay was originally bought to be used in an indie game I was scheming up, but I eventually used 3d stuff instead.
Edit: How's about some fluffy HD clay-clouds?
Do HD clouds actually work/look good? I could see it working with the 2d graphics mode, but the 3d setting probably looks a bit messed up. I'll look into it.

Can you make an alternate version of cobblestone which is like a sttone bricks
I won't be working on alternate textures into more pressing issues are sorted out, but yes, when I do start, stone bricks will be one of the first options.
Whoops, I disappeared again! Sorry about that, my internet died spectacularly and I couldn't get the latest minecraft files.
Anyway, the update will probably take at least a day or two, but here's what you can expect:
- Pistons and shears
- New ore blocks
- New bricks
- New sandstone
- New tall grass (if it looks better than the old)
- Map icon
- New (possibly animated) water
I can't stand to play standard graphics so I had to quickfix claycraft to work with pistons.
Here is a temporary unofficial version of claycraft. It's 128x128.
1.7 Compatibility Update!
Added:
--Pistons
--Shears
Changed:
--Diamond, Gold, and Iron Blocks
--Bricks
--Sandstone
See the first image in the screenshot section for a preview!
Also, I'm working on some new water, here's a preview:
I plan to have it animate like the water in Zelda: Wind Waker, but I'm still experimenting. This isn't in the current build yet, as it doesn't match the flowing water, but I hope to finish it soon.
What. The. Hell. This texture pack makes me feel like i'm five again! Definatley downloading! Makes minecraft take on a different feel, more... playful, I think. Anyways, great job! Can't wait for the final release!

Thanks! But what do you mean by "final release"? Pretty much all of the textures are done if that's what you mean.
Also, ya'll need to post more! I see you downloading it, but this thread gets buried faster than the evidence in my backyard.

You're using the HD patcher linked in the first post, right?

Hit one of the big buttons at the top for your desired size.

Wow, great work! Would you mind if I put this in the first post while I get my act together?
Can't wait for more.
