I feel like a complete idiot, but could someone point me in the right direction? I want my pack to have custom lava at least and I'm not sure how to go about implementing it in the game. I'm sure there's a thread somewhere on here about it but I can't seem to find it >_>!

Unfortunately, simply retexturing it in the terrain.png does absolutely nothing. I've been forced to use a Texture patcher to get custom lava and water. McPatcher is the one I used. Let me see if I can't find a link to the thread.
