O.k. a major update to the game and textures will force me to release v.3 a little early with some stuff not yet finalized, but I'll get it out today (lest something very unexpected happens). But I have the day (mostly) free so I will get this updated :biggrin.gif:
but I also wanted to mention something about the future versions of this pack
In the future, I will provide two versions of this pack, a 'Vanilla' FEZ pack, and another pack to fit the Minecraft atmosphere better. The Vanilla version will be as faithful to the source material as possible, while the latter will take a few creative liberties and try to be more 'normal' as far as MC textures are usually concerned. For an example look at the screen shot of v.1 and v.2, you will notice the wooden plank texture is very different, and if you are not very familiar with the upcoming game FEZ, you will probably not appreciate the plank texture from v.1, the plank texture from v.2 however is meant to be more identifiable as wooden planks, and thus better for gameplay.
I'm not sure what to call the two packs yet. Any suggestions?
Also, the two versions will probably not go in effect untill the current version is actually complete, then I will come out with the separated versions.
The pack Has been turned into 2 (count em' 2) versions! The originally planned full 'FEZ' conversion, and a new 'User Friendly' version that aims to keep the same atmosphere while at the same time applying new more Minecraft like textures. I highly recommend the 'User Friendly Version' for its enhanced playability. But for those hardcore FEZ fans out there I have provided the default 'source' textures so that you can enjoy every FEZZY pixel you can get. :smile.gif:
I modified the char.png so it has one face and a fez hat. :biggrin.gif:
Also, you forgot the bookshelve version for the vanilla one.
Haha, thank you, i actually didnt mean to leave that char in there it was just kind of a mock up :/ lol, work in progress i guess now :smile.gif:
and I'll fix the bookshelves, didnt notice that either, thanks!!!
I also think the cobblestone could use a bit more of a blueish tint, like in the screenshots and to make it more pleasant to the eye. Love the easy to see ores by the way!

That exact cobblestone issue is something I've been thinking about since I've started this pack! I haven't been sure of weather to use the grey or blue look since both colours are used in various FEZ screens and videos. The compromise that I ended up going with was useing grey for cobble and blue for Netherrack.
It's still like that in the vanilla pack, but the netherrack is now red in the User friendly version. anyways, I'll test it out and see how i like it.
BTW, I updated the packs after the last batch of recommendations/points:
-updated vanilla bookshelves
-updated user friendly sandstone and sand
-something else that i can't remember (but it was very small i think anyways)
well I need a good Gomez (the protagonist of FEZ) model before i can do that. Do you have any experience with player skins? I can't seem to get a good model of FEZ into minecraft. Thats really the only thing I'm having trouble with on this pack so far. Everything else has already been started or I have plans for. I would LOVE a skin contribution for the Gomez skin :biggrin.gif:
Also, I did try out the blue blocks and they don't look bad, so I think I'll include an alternate terrain.png in each pack featuring the blue blocks.

Your Gomez skin is great, the charFEZ.png one. If you can make it look zombified, that'd be awesome.
Heres what I have for red flowers and yellow flowers.
Red Flowers = Red fezes
Yellow Flowers = Floaty yellow pellet things that you collect.
Well, I'v already got flowers that are directly from a fez screen shot in both the packs. And besides that, I already have plans for both of those items :smile.gif:
thanks man,
Btw I'm going to be posting an update in the next few days, so to anyone who is watching, keep an eye out on this pack!
Now!

Ok, cool, well, if someone likes it I guess I have nothing to be worried about then :biggrin.gif:
Now V.6 will include:
- Gomez as Playerskin
- Zombie Gomez as zombie skin
- Alternate terrain.png for blue cobble (and other small alterations per request)
Red Flowers = Red fezes
Yellow Flowers = Floaty yellow pellet things that you collect.
