Strange... I have found that the creator, has in fact, disappeared from existence.
All jokes aside, I know that it takes quite a bit of time to make a texture pack. Most likely, the author is still going through something that is as hard as the final level of Cave Story itself: texturing that stupid ender dragon. But still, when will the update be? At least give us an idea of it.

I made some new textures because I'm not so sure the creator is going to update anytime soon, I stole the tiles from a tile editor for cave story called miza, it made editing this a breeze, though it still took a while, some textures are default, but not all, anyway here's MY UNOFFICIAL Update to the Cave Story Texture Pack!

I came from the internet to say that I love you so much for updating this pack because I was too lazy to do it myself! I feel this needs more love because I think the pack is awesome.
Hey keep updating this!!! I love Cave Story and this texture pack is awesome. It isn't 1.2.5 though. Please keep updating, all there is are a few new blocks and an animal or two. This texture pack is so great but I don't think I can use it with my current minecraft so definitely keep updating.
ya know, just as a suggestion, you should try collaborating with the The Oolong Ninja. He has some great nether textures. Working together, I think you guys could make a cave story texture that would totally be awesome.
well, I am no editor, but I took your and oloong the ninjas packs and kinda combined them a little. Changed your nether texture and gave the pigman zombies a skin from his pack. I was wondering if it is alright with you, If I could upload this? Also since I am not really a good texture person, I have some great ideas for some of the mobs... slimes and magma cubes could both look like the bouncing skeletons from cave story. Cats could be mimigas that follow you around. Also the new wood def needs a fix.
Cave Story+ came out two days ago. Shame the Wind Fortress isn't available in 16x16.

What do you mean by Cave Story+ ? Are you talking about Cave Story for the 3DS? :3
