Some of you may remember Invertin's "TileCraft" Texture Pack, but you may notice it has gone un-updated for quite a while. No more! With Invertin's permission, I have taken the liberty of redoing a few of the textures, and I made new ones for everything he was unable to complete!
--INSTRUCTIONS--
● 1) Choose either the texture pack with biome-compliant textures or the "no-biomes" version.
● 2) Download the relevant .zip file below.
● 3) Place the .zip in your texture packs folder, accessible through the in-game texture packs menu.
● 4) Enjoy it's beauty!

FAQ:
Q: Can you make textures for [x] mod?
A: No. I don't use mods that add or change content. However, if you make textures for said mod in the TileCraft style, comment here or make a separate thread and I'd be happy to link to it in the first post.
Q: Will you make a higher resolution version of this pack? (32p, 64p, etc)
A: Maybe, if I ever stop being lazy.
Q: When will you update to [version x]?
A: Normally within a couple days of the version's release, depending on how lazy I am or how interested in Minecraft I am at the time.
I like to tweak things a lot. Next update to the pack:
● Better sun and moon. I fixed the gradient behind both of them, now I want to make the sun look better.
● Minecart and Boat textures that actually fit the style. (Templates would speed these up a lot...)
● Stone stuff is now much darker, to contrast with iron. Makes iron ore easier to spot.
● Sponge has been slightly edited. Tell me if you like it.
● All tools have been slightly redesigned to be longer and a bit better looking.
● General recolors to make things more consistent, such as making redstone the same color as TNT.
● Redid sandstone so it's the same pattern as cobble/netherstone but colored like sand.
● Copypasta'd the iron/diamond/gold blocks back to the empty spaces like they used to be.
What else would you guys like to see changed?
Does anyone want me to make water/lava/portal textures? They probably wouldn't be animated, unless someone can suggest a clever way to fit it to the TileCraft style.
Sorry for not posting, it took me a while to find this because I'm lazy.
Thank you so much for updating the pack, Kirby, I'll try to keep it updated myself, but, again, I'm lazy, so I might not be able to do that, and I apologise if it is left to you.
That's perfectly fine. I don't mind working on it. :smile.gif:
I'll still keep the name as it is. I don't want to take full credit for it. Thanks, though. :smile.gif:
I need to ask 2 questions though:
1) Does anyone have templates for minecarts and boats? I've been having a hell of a time trying to figure it out. Either that or a texture where the sides are clearly distinguishable.
2) I'm trying to make the sun look yellow during the day, but it's always white. I've tried making it really dark but it makes the sun partially transparent. What do I do? x_x
Bump. Sorry I haven't updated yet, I've been busy with other stuff.
Anybody got any ideas about what I can do for the sun?
Also, if anyone has any suggestions for the pack, I'd love to hear them.
I played around with water/lava for a bit, and I got some thing that looks alright:
You have to use the HD Patcher for this to show up so if you don't like it, just don't use it.
I think I'll skip the boat and minecart textures for now. They're the only* vanilla graphics left.
Unless someone really really wants them (and can provide a template), I'll update today and put them in the next release.
* - besides the watch dial, the shadow, the vignette and the Mojang splash screen. Non of those really need to be changed.
this is an alternate pack ill sometimes switch too, and its pretty great. but the glass gets to me, it doesn't give me the "tiled" feel to it that all other things do.

One of the two texture packs I've liked enough to use.

EDIT: Changed the pictures in the first post to thumbnails.

Version 2.0 is up, and I also made separate .zips for biome- and non-biome-compliant packs.
Tell me what you guys think of them. :biggrin.gif:
Whoops! My bad. I didn't notice until just now; the folder the files were in was named wrong. It should work now. :smile.gif:
