Anybody else getting bad framerates with this? I was able to use the 256x with 1.3 just fine, but trying to use the new 256x with 1.4 my framerates drop into the teens and 20s(if i'm standing still). I'm downloading the 128x to see if it helps...
You do know mcpatcher hasn't been updated for 1.4?
Sure it works but people have reported that it's much more laggy.
Be patient. Or use the beta2 mcpatcher.

Thats what I was using. It seems to work just fine with 128x, but I would love to go back to 256x

That makes two of us friend. I'm currently out of town and typing this off my iPhone, while my main computer is being repaired I have to put up with a laptop, it's basically unplayable in 256 and 128 was just a little too much for it. So I can't effectively test my pack besides in the 64x version. At least this gives me
more incentive to work on it however :smile.gif:
the main thing is, the packs updated and as soon as we can run 256 effectively all will be back to normal :smile.gif:
I'm glad you managed to get 128 working though, there isn't much difference but we both know 256 is better :wink.gif:

That blows. Here's hoping you get your computer fixed. And yeah, while there may be no noticeable difference, I still love using 256x.
Love your pack, and looking forward to any improvements
Ok i guess i don't know where to find the texture pack file. I literally deleted everything minecraft on my computer and it still has the same problem. I looked on the launcher options and it told me the location of the minecraft file it doesnt exist (after i reinstalled it). So im guessing the texture pack folder is somewhere else? Really would like to know why i cant play minecraft and how to fix this.

Ah it'll be fixed, just waiting for that one damn part to arrive. Damn power button haha. I can turn it on with a screwdriver to the motherboard but it's hardly practical now is it? haha.
And definately yes 256 is amazing :biggrin.gif:
And improvements are always being added. I can't stop adjusting it. Whether it's making some blocks darker, different texture or heck even drawing a whole new one. I have to finish doing mobs though. Can't keep using the placeholders forever haha.

Click start, click run(if on xp) if you're on vista or 7 just type into the search bar "%appdata%" and press enter.
You will see a .minecraft folder. Go inside there and delete only the bin folder to redownload minecraft.
The texture pack folder is also in the .minecraft folder however I have no idea why you are looking for it.
You don't need it. YOU SHOULD BE USING MCPATCHER TO APPLY TEXTURE PACKS! >.>
im jealous of people who can play on a computer at far render on fancy with 1 256x tp i have to play on short and fast with a 16x tp and optimine... grrrrrrr.......

Ouch that's not good.
On my old computer I can play Minecraft without lag on Fast and on normal render.
However if I used "Test Minecraft" on mcpatcher I can run 64x texture pack on far render haha.
If you don't mind losing the ability to play multiplayer I suggest trying it out :smile.gif:
Hi, maybe am doing something wrong, so I need help.
I have a MacBook Pro late 2008 with 2GB of ram NVidia GeForce 9600 GT 256 MB Vram
I have putten the Texture Pack in MyUserName/Library/Application Support/minecraft/Texture Packs in zipped format
I choosed it in the Minecraft and Minecraft has crashed, and when I try to open it, it crashes again . I can fix it by deleting the pack or placing it somewhere else. I used 128 version, and my Minecrafts version is 1.4_01.

Learn to install texture packs that are higher than 32x
USE MCPATCHER OTHERWISE IT WILL CRASH FOLLOW THE LINKS AND EVEN THE VIDEO

Every time I see your title it seems to gain some more stars and hearts. XD
I'm off to try out your new version. Any major changes I should look out for?
Butbut they're pretty x_x Haha.
And Not much difference, wool might be a bit off still but shhhh >.> haha.
I've stuck with the test reference as it seemed to grow on me and people voted for it anyway =3
Few tweaks here and there and even added a bump map to it but not the one you'd expect. Just adds more detail to the terrain.png as I couldn't be bothered with an actual bump map.

Haha aww poor you. Well if you're using that beta mcpatcher you should be able to switch back to normal minecraft anytime you feel...safe? :wink.gif: haha.

One day... When I can be bothered >.> haha.
But thanks for the compliment.

Could you pls make a download with the pictures of your fantastic grass for the wild grass mod. That would be amazing.
Thank you for the great Pack
They're already a part of the pack and all you need to do is install the wild grass mod.
Unless you meant something else??
In a nutshell: I cant get this mod to work consistenly. Which is a bummer, because its beautiful.
Minecraft, when launched witht he MC launcher gets to the Mojang screen, then vanishes. Weird thing is, it will load and play thru the "Test Minecraft" button in mcpatcher (using version 1.1.12_02) immediately after patching.
I have checked to make the sure the original and output files are correct.
I have reinstalled both Minecraft and java. I re-downloaded mcpatcher and re-ran it.
I have not tried the beta yet, the current version is supposed to be compatible with 1.4_01 anyway.
I tried to attached the error report, but .log, .txt, .docx all are disallowed extensions...

In the newest version of wildgrass the pictures are in a file and not in the terrain.png.
I tried to cut the pictures of your terrain.png out and place them in the file but it didn´t worked.
im having the same problem, everything works fine, with the exception of the WIldgrass/foliage.
its been a while since i played but i believe that the wildgrass mod is made differently now, and im not sure how to go about and fix it. also your texture pack is amazing and i like the UI just fine its clean intuitive and minimal.

Thanks for the heads up.

If it works with Test Minecraft but not the actual game then you need to allocate more RAM to minecraft.exe
Also I recommend you try using the mcpatcher beta by Kahn it's much better than the current build of mcpatcher.
But yeah try using 128 or 64 if you want to launch minecraft without messing with bat files.

I'm glad you like my pack, I'm trying to work on it but it's proving difficult with my main computer out of action for a while =/ (All resources for my pack are on there and I had to redownload my own pack and do stuff fresh =/)
Be sure to update to the latest version anyway :smile.gif:

thanks now all i need are morecreeps and planes to be updated
:biggrin.gif:
I'm making a quick video showing the latest of the pack because both videos are vastly outdated. Only one is the DIY SOS parody haha.
I'm hoping all the mods get updated quickly but at this rate it's unlikely.
1.5 has to be the buggiest update they've released thus far =/
