What OS you on? If you're on a 64 bit system. Get the 64 bit java! It improves minecraft a LOT.
/facepalms
i forgot about my 64bit system and java
also i have
Win 7 Pro 64 Bit
4 gb of DDR3
Core2Duo E7500 Wolfdale
Nvidia Geforce 9800 GT 1gb ram
note just occured in full screen with the 128 version
gonna change to 64 bit java and post again
Well computer specs should run the 256 perfectly :smile.gif: But as the game itself is running fine I can only suspect that java is the cause of the crash as it's only happening in full screen. Does it happen when changing to full screen or after a while with playing on full screen?

Hi,
Nice job, the patch is great and u change the foliage color now trees are perfect, i love these colors.
Where do u upload your world's saves ? i dont find it.
Thx,
Have a good day, Have Fun
Thanks, I'm glad the foliage looks good for you :smile.gif: I tried making it hopefully as realistic looking as possible, you should also see more shades of brown leaved tree's around.
Also the world save is on the OP of this mod :smile.gif: Download it, it will come in handy for all of the texture packs you use.
Hey guys i been trying to get either 256 or the 128 HD texture pack to work i have done the same thing as all of my friends but my game keeps going non responding and i have no idea.. anyone have any ideas?
Wow so amazing thnx so much for this!
using 256 pack makes the game look so sweet
Haha well thanks for that :biggrin.gif:

Did you use mcpatcher to install the texture pack to the game and yeah what Oysterbarron said I will need to know your spec of the computer, your operating system and what bit it is and if you're on a 64 bit system are you using 64 bit java? (We all seem to make that mistake)
Hey dude i was hoping if you could make a 64 bit one? It looks nice but i'd prefer for it to run even SMOOTHER than it is now. (currently using 128 bit)
it happened after playing for awhile on full screen. Also i did install it with the MCpatcher. Also after getting ahold of 64bit java it seems more stable havent had the sudden disappearance of the game client
also the pack is causing the client to take longer to get to the Mojang screen but that could just be due to the size of the graphics.
I would also like to see a 64x64 version as i like more performance then im worried about quality.
Im using windows 32 bit, nvidia geforce 8800 gt, amd II X4640 processor 3.00 Ghz. I have gotten in the game now after many attempts but sometimes it goes to a black screen and crashes.

64 bit?... The main priority for this texture pack was to make a HD texture pack for computers that can play it, to make minecraft look like what maybe Minecraft 2 might look like if you get me.
256 was the main one and 128 was made for those who want a SMOOTHER gameplay than the 256 without too much loss of detail.
It's already a LOT of work doing everything I did to the 256 to the 128... and doing it to the 64 might just become more pain than it's worth.
Also resizing the texture pack down will lose so much quality and will require a LOT of tweaks on each and every single block so that it actually looks right without half of the one next to it intruding in it.
I'm not saying I won't EVER do this... But I will say I won't rush and do it now, maybe when I have more time to work on it and the 256 is practically finished.

Oh thats not good, sounds like a java issue then and yes it will take longer to boot due to all the pack being 16 times bigger than the original minecraft!
And about the 64x64 texture pack, refere to the previous reply ^ up there :smile.gif:
Like I said, this pack is more aimed at the quality for those who CAN use it and the 128 was for those who want almost the same quality but a little more performance.

Your computer is indeed powerful enough to play the game with the pack just fine (128x128) but it's your operating system that is letting you down, well more importantly the java it has to use. Java just can't handle the amount of memory the pack will be using up, also be sure to install the pack correctly with the latest mcpatcher just to confirm it isn't because of the pack or mcpatcher.
With more and more people having performance issues due to the large sizes of the textures, I may create the 64x64 version a little sooner than I first presumed when writing replies. After a few more updates to the 256 and 128 I WILL be making the 64x64 version :smile.gif: (Don't expect anything less... the quality just won't be worth it)
Thank you for the Map, its pretty perfect for testings =)
(the only problem is at night, because there are no fences :wink.gif: )
No problem :smile.gif: And yeah I've saved it as my own tester world now I'm that impressed with it.
I'll be sure to update it should notch and co decide to add more stuff to it when he's back from holiday.
And yeah I was going to add a fence but it seems that spiders can get over it anyway... so to be honest there'd be no point xD Plus all the friendly mobs spawning inside... would be stuck inside and get even more in the way =/
So yeah so long as its set to peaceful you'll be fine :biggrin.gif:
And I looked at the pics of your pack, lookeds gorgeous :biggrin.gif: I hope you keep updating that!

Sweet job man, I absolutely love 128x128 and 256x256 packs. Can't wait to download this.
Thanks! Well be sure to download the 256 and run around for a bit :smile.gif:

Thanks again, if you have any suggestions please submit them... or even requests!
I'm liking the look of this pack. It looks like you've generated all new textures and not filtched any from other packs too. Not that there's anything wrong with that!
I'm tired of critiquing my own work, so I though I'd check your out to see what I'd want to work on if it was mine. Hope you don't mind if I run through them here. I'll go top to bottom, left to right rather than in any order of "importance" because they're all just opinions anyway. And just so you know I'm not all negatives, I really like your chests and workbench! And everything that I don't criticize below, I like!
Stone is very flat. Almost like poured concrete. Could use a more visually interesting texture. This stuff is the foundation of a lot of blocks.
Dirt: I'd swear there's a hue shift between dirt and dirt with grass top. Looks like your levels are off on these too. There's no black and that makes them "soft" feeling. Musshy. Set a blackpoint and then open up midtones to keep the overall luminance.
Half steps: There's a conflict between the bevel and the highlights on the stone. Or you're going for a well worn cut stone look. If the later then maybe make it a bit more obvious? Also levels.
Cobble: I like em! But the more unique a stone is the more tiling issues you have. Cobble's so used I'd genericize these stones a bit. You got a bit of brightness in your mossy cobble. Are you using PS? If so, making smart objects for re-used tiles is a great thing!
Sand is very stone-like. No softness at all. Probably looks great in desert biomes. By water, It doesnt feel like sand.
Iron, Gold and Diamon blocks: Meh. Looks like a transparency issue at the top of the bottom tiles. Or something.
Furnace: Looks bricked up. If that's the inside back wall then it should be softer focus and all shadowed. The drop shadow on it makes it appear to be 4-5 inches behind the front arch.
All ores: Ores are hard. The stone doesn't help here.
Bookcase: that gap is going to be maddening in a library.
Redstone torches: I'm sorry, this doesn't seem to work. And don't you get holes in them and 4 round tiles at the top rather than a bulb?
Pumpkin: levels.
Netherrack: Needs more shape to the stones. Disturbingly "raw ground beef pressed into brick mold".
Cake: Oh my god. What kind of cake have you made!? It's... it's... take it away!
lol. Just kidding, but it is gross looking.
I really do like what you've done here! Just trying to share my thoughts on it. Thanks for sharing your work!
It was really nice, i think you did great work on it, and you should surely be proud of it!
Still, i won't use it. Some textures were not "good looking" enough for me, and anything above 64x64 makes me feel like i am not playing minecraft. I saw the animals too, and i could see you weren't finished.. I lol'd at them, especially the pig xD
Anyway, really nice work on it! Keep working, send me a PM if you have a question or something.
To All the people with 1gb graphics cards and 4gigs of ram and a 32bit operating system. You do realize that without a 64bit operating system it can only have 4 gigs of memory including graphics memory.
So basically until you have a 64bit OS you really have only 3gigs of ram, this could be part of the problem with the 256 sets on these systems.
SLI makes this problem much worse, if you have 1GB cards you really only have 2gigs, that's like the minimum requirements to run vista+ solidly. Hope this helps.
Yep there is an update on the way but this ones gonna be big. I'm trying to get all the mobs and all the graphical glitches fixed.
Hoping to get some armour done aswell.
Thing is I have 2 other projects that come before this (Man Vs Minecraft videos(Those things are fun)) and also Papercraft (Damn I put too much time into them)
But yeah since I got my new graphics tablet I've been working on this none stop.
Expect it in a few days :smile.gif:
I also edited a few with my texture pack, you can do the same with any other texture pack :smile.gif: Just openthe nets in gimp or photoshop :smile.gif:
But yeah... update incoming in a few days :biggrin.gif: in the meantime watch my man vs minecraft videos if you like, just check out my youtube channel in my sig :smile.gif:
