Hi im a great fan of your pack and have been waiting for your update as mc does not seem complete without it. been looking at other packs and still found nothing that is like yours and so origanal.
I'm currently using the 256 x 256 "Minecraft Enhanced" Texture Pack. Not the whole "MCE Mod" just the texture pack. So, you don't need to have the whole mod installed. Of course, you can if you want to.
The texture pack in this thread doesn't seem to get updated here in a timely manner. He even said he has it ready. It's been ready for awhile but it still hasn't been made available for everyone else to download. Maybe he'll finally make it available after this. Or, we will probably have to wait for sometime after Minecraft 1.7 finally comes out.
Just downloaded and used the 256 pack. Very very nice pack. Altho the water looks kind of odd for it being still. Dont know if thats the way the texture pack is or if its the patchers fault.
Water is due to the patcher I think... That or because I never created a custom_water.png or whatever it is. *Shrugs*
Can someone pm me about it? I never looked into creating one before :/
As for the Pistons. Yeah I noticed that literally a minute after I finished uploading the packs. I was absolutely gutted that I forgot to add the slime to the sticky piston.
My sincerest apologies for that.
I'll be keeping an eye on Mojang and co's tweets and blogs for a sense of when 1.8 will arrive and decide whether or not reuploading all three versions of the packs again would be worth it.
As I said about pictures in the 1.7 video I want people to use their own images. Because my personal preference is a LOT different from everyone elses and instead of having people complain about them I decided just not to do them.
People just use their own these days.

It's worth it. I don't want to have to go in and modify the sticky piston texture myself and I'm sure others do not either.
As for the pictures, don't you get complaints about there not being any better pictures instead of complaints about what those pictures are? Either way, a person would have to change them if they don't like them. But, if they like yours, they don't have to change them. And, I'm sure whatever they are they would be better than the default 16 x 16 ones. I'm also sure you could come up with some basic ones that would probably have broader appeal. Maybe even include several files to choose from for your pictures. Just a thought.
Yeah it would be worth it if I had time to do it :/
My upload speed is very flow (25kb/s)
I have to upload all three texture packs again.
Then I have to edit all the download links on both this page and my website.
It's just something I really have no time to do.
Is it bad that I don't even know what my pistons look like ingame? I've been that busy I haven't even been able to try my pack out :/
I'll think about doing the Pictures, but I won't make promises.
I already have ideas for them.
I've seen people complain about them on other packs, saying they want to use pictures from other packs or default etc.
You can't make everyone happy, they all have their own personal preference, so I figured it's much easier to just not try.
As a guy with limited time I have to prioritise :/
I hope you can understand this from my perspective, I'd like to make the photo's and perhaps I will.
I want to use the 256x texture pack, but my comp has issues on the 64x texture pack!!
I used the tutorials to try and give my windows 7, 64bit comp, with 4 gigs of ram and a dual core 2.73gigahertz processor more memory allocated to java, but nothing seems to help!!
Even on Short, Fast, and 'power saver' I still have large amounts of lag.
If anyone can help, that'd be nice, because after seeing this pack, I really really really really want to use it, but my comp can't handle it for some reason (I know it should, based on what everyone else is saying)
That, and I'd like help on the Item.png for the armor, if that's at all possible.
EDIT: After seeing the discusion about paintings (I presume thats what its over) I really tend to like the paintings that people put in their packs.. weather its something like the Moderncraft texturepack for the Minecrafts edge map, or if its Dokucraft, I think they are fine. People complain, then they can just swap out the art\ folder
Your specs seem pretty solid to have it work no problem.
However... what graphics card do you have? If it's integrated graphics or something like that ghastly Intel HD Graphics then you're pretty much doomed :/
That's the only thing you haven't mentioned which would explain why it sucks so bad.
Also be sure you have 64bit Java. Not 32... 32bit java on 64bit system = Explosively uneventful. (ha?)
But yeah.
If you want to do the 256 Armour icons, be my guest. I will add item to mine and adjust them to 128 and 64. You will get the credit you deserve naturally. I'm just far too busy and/or lazy to do them.
I like what you say about the art file. I'll think about it... I have ideas for them so IF I choose to do them, you might like them :tongue.gif:
How to install
There is only one way to install this texture pack in order for it to work, you will need mcpatcher beta by kahr which was designed to make HD texture packs work with lower packs respectively.
NOT true. :tongue.gif:
You don't actually need the HD MCPatcher for HD Textures, HD Fonts, and/or Better Grass.
The "OptiFine" Mod also enables the ability to use HD Textures, HD Fonts, and Better Grass (just like the HD Patcher does, which is no longer needed if you use "OptiFine" instead). However, unlike the HD Patcher, the OptiFine Mod additionally gives you a huge speed performance boost regardless of whether or not you're on a slow or fast computer. Also unlike the HD Patcher, it also allows you to tweak a lot of other aesthetic settings such as enabling additional effects or modifying cloud heights and fog distance, animations, smooth lighting, etc, etc. Even if you enable all of the fanciest/best graphic settings with this, the mod still gives you a huge speed performance boost. So, I highly recommend using this one instead. In fact, it has allowed people to use higher-pixel texture packs that they weren't able to use before due to the speed of their computer.
Make sure you try the Multi-Threaded "MT" or Multi-Threaded Light "MTL" version first. If you have any problems for some odd reason, you can always try the Non-Multi-Threaded version instead. The Multi-Threaded and Multi-Threaded Light versions should still work fine on your computer (including an additional performance tweak or two) even if your computer's processor is not multi-core.
EDIT: The OptiFog+Optimine Mod was renamed to The OptiFine Mod.
Thanks for the screenshots, some really nice creations you've got there!
I'm not sure what you mean with the booster rails, but torches are going to be fixed in the next update. I do have plans for them :smile.gif:
I'd love to have two different lava textures for the world and nether. Sadly though it's not possible. So not a lot I can do about lava really. :/
The smoke is nothing to do with the texture pack, that's something in the game. It happens in default textures and any other pack. I hope Notch fixes this in future however.
Besides thee booster rails comment I didn't find much difficulty understanding your English so don't worry about it.
Again thanks for providing feedback.
Hopefully the 1.8 update will be soon so I can update the texture pack and make the necessary changes.
Again, nice screenshots and hope you enjoy the texture pack for quite some time :smile.gif:
Downloaded. Took a quick glance. Lots of stuff I will be commenting about when I get the chance.
The file is in ".rar" format. So, it has to first be converted to a ".zip" format to be seen.
While I'm here, I noticed that the "pack.txt" file in the regular 64x64 pack from here says it's for a different pack. Just FYI.
~ iiiHuman ~
Ah yes I forgot about that. I always forget because my version of minecraft actually recognises rar format.
It's a simple conversion if anyone wants to try it ingame. I'll fix that when I update it tonight or tomorrow. Just trying to get this damn custom water/lava out of the way.
Oh fiddle. I usually get that just right. Yeah they all say the 256 pack I think. My bad.
Thanks for bringing it up. I tend to make mistakes on the other packs because I don't really test them. They're just downsized versions of the 256, I do however check the grid and uvmap so that the blocks don't go over to other blocks like they used to. I think I've almost stomped that out. I do need to fix 1 or 2 block textures from that disaster too.
But yeah I'm hoping to hear back from some of the 259 people who have downloaded it so far. From the feedback I've got so far it's very promising. Even people who don't/can't use it have praised it and actually want to try it out :smile.gif:
Infact the 256x256 is updated to 1.6.6 and I have it on my minecraft right now :3

The Minecraft Enhanced Texture Pack has a better Sun, Moon, and Clouds anyhow.

Minecraft has been deemed stable enough for a texture pack update.
He's to the hope that 1.7 won't be as
crapbuggy.Check the changelog for changes
Please enjoy.
Remember to donate if you want :smile.gif:
It really helps.
Also, it would be nice if some highly-detailed pictures were added.
