I drug this over from Mapping and Modding because I just updated it for the newest build. For anyone who doesn't know, this pack has been around since June of last year. Hopefully you'll dig it! (Pun fully intended.)
This is my first texture pack, and I decided to redo what Notch did for the 'default'. My new default is what I feel it should look like. Originally, I made this for myself and my friends, based on what we all wanted, but they suggested I post it on the forums here to see if you people like it. So, here it is.
(The Nether blocks aren't completely finished. Don't freak out.)

Download the .zip file, and drag it into the texturepacks folder.

I'm totally redoing the nether blocks and cake right now.
I'm in the process of converting this mod to HD. It won't replace this, but it'll be an alternative. 32x32.
