DesiQ, if you check your inbox I've sent you a couple additional textures. Theres animated fire and portal textures, and a couple other bug fixes.
I like several of the things you've done, and will include them in the next roll-out of Tronic Revamped (with due credit, naturally). Check your inbox for some questions.
I was developing a 16x version of the tronic texture pack and this one, however on nearing completion (with over 20 alternate textures for the customizer) i gave up. I do still have the file but i believe no 16x texture pack beats jolicraft :biggrin.gif:
hey i made an installation video. i messed up once or twice but that was my third time recording it because cam studio refused to save, and id rather just leave in a few errors than risk a bunch more. hope this helps clear things up.
Can you please update the OP please? Tronic was never dead, this is just spreading the misconception. Tronic just took a while to update and tronic revamped was born out of it. Tronic did update and has been updating regularly ever since that point.

Okay, I have struck out the incorrect sentence and replaced it with a more truthy one. Thank you for reminding me!
Mmkay, it sounds like it's tried to anti-alias it or something during saving. I'll have a look when I get home.
Alright. Hopefully it can be fixed. I really like this pack and, if the problem with the stray pixels can be fixed, will probably be the one I'll be using for some time.
Aha! The problem is not in my texture pack; it is something to do with what the HD Texture Fix is doing.
I downloaded the distribution copy of Tronic Revamped (in case the download was messing up the textures by not passing packets or something) and the newest HD Texture Patcher, and looked at the textures for the objects you cited in my paint program. Having changed the transparency background color and pattern several times, I could find no stray pixels. Thinking it was just you, I installed TR and the HD Texture Fix, and indeed I got some funny 'thin pixels' on certain parts of swords and feathers and stuff.
I thought, "Perhaps the Texture Fix is now using 512 pixel slabs instead of 256 pixel slabs? So I upsized the slab, and the problem remained. Finally, I got a new minecraft.jar and started Minecraft without patching it with the HD Texture Fix. Sure enough, the item textures are perfectly fine.
So I will email xau and tell him about the HD Texture Fix thing.

Tronic Revamped — Minimalist texture pack
Duuuuuuuh I did it again. :dry.gif:
Okay, I've replaced it with the proper archives.
Tronic Revamped — Minimalist texture pack
I continue to update it as new patches come out, even though I no longer play Minecraft regularly.
Why, has another patch been released?
Tronic Revamped — Minimalist texture pack
Cool. :3 As long as someone posts here when a new patch is released, I'll usually have a new version out within a day or two.
Tronic Revamped — Minimalist texture pack
Blue pixels... perhaps some stray ones. I'll have a look.

Same problem with the redstone repeaters. But it's brown pixels this time.
Same thing with the feather, but it's gray pixels.
And the wooden sword has a few stray brown pixels when you swing it.

DUURRRRRRRRR.
Turns out I have been linking people to the wrong URL for the (now-discontinued) HD Texture Fix. The updated, 1.7.3-compatible one, is at http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/232701-611-update173-compatible-mcpatcher-hd-fix-210-02/
I have updated the link in the Readme to point to this new location.
After using this new patch, the problem is fixed.
