I really like the old tronic but this one is too high resolution for my computer to handle. =(
It's the same resolution as the original Tronic (32x32) =S
Just to update anyone who is waiting for me to make this thing 1.3 compatible, the game can't even connect to minecraft.net, so I can't download the new minecraft.jar and start making new textures. I'll keep trying throughout the day, and when I finally do get the new files, these are the changes you can expect:
[*:ekeckx08]New blocks textured.
[*:ekeckx08]New item icons (if any).
[*:ekeckx08]Redone Squid texture (I got lazy with v4 and just used the stock texture, sized up to 32x32).
[*:ekeckx08]Brick texture reverted back to the original style of Tronic brick.
[*:ekeckx08]Sandstone textured similarly to old brick, so that they can still be used together in construction.
[*:ekeckx08]I want to find a color for brick that will complement sandstone, too.
[*:ekeckx08]Darker pine bark color to further differentiate it.

Actually there is a 16x tronic version by the original creator but he's not updating it at the moment. Doesn't mean you can't use it. I suggest you copy and paste whatever is missing from another 16x pack. Get it here http://www.evilmousestudios.com/tronic/
Hey, can you maybe do an update for beds and whatever else is needed? That would be grrrrrrrrreat.

A few pages ago I tried to fix it by upsizing the clock dial's texture and making sure transparency was on etc etc, but it didn't work. It seems that clocks, like compasses, don't like higher res textures.
Texture problems are connected to the HD Texture Patcher. Make sure you're using the newest version, and that it is compatible with the newest version of Minecraft.
UPDATE: I have just patched using the newest HD Texture Patcher version, and all textures are fine (excepting compass and watch).
Textures are awesome; I just wish that there were outlines on the lava like there is for water. I would do it myself but I'm not sure how your transparency stuff works.

I tried doing outlines for it a long time ago, but it didn't turn out well in terms of gameplay.
Problem being, when you add block outlines to a block that is colored solid you are more inclined to think that it's a normal, solid block, just like everything else (dirt is a solid color, sand is a solid color etc etc). I ultimately decided to leave it plain without block outlines so that upon seeing it, the player would go, "Whoa. Every block has an outline except this one: it must be important or special."

ah, I see. that makes sense. do you think you could add in an option for outlined lava, like you did for invisible armor? I'm still a little curious to see it myself.
this is great! its simple, it has good art and cobblestone looks excellent! i always hated the default one .
although, there is one flaw. a block of gold ( x9) has fire in two corners. its weird and i can't really explain it but it needs fixing. it may just be my comp or maybe i can destroy it and make it again, but just check for it.

It's happening because you didn't follow the instructions.
the minimalist look really screws you up underground XD.
Why, out of curiosity? Is it that the smoothness of the textures gives you less of a point of reference? I had kind of the opposite problem with pretty much every other texture pack until I found Tronic: the busyness of the textures really hurt my eyes, especially when you were spelunking and everything was only semi-lit.
I'll get to it tomorrow, but I'm still having trouble logging into our server. I don't even know what's changed!
