Ehhh, do we HAVE to delete the bin folder to install the texture pack? Because I have the Optimize Mod installed and deleting the bin folder will get rid of it......
Optimize uses the minecraft.jar folder and I need that.
it's normally best to install mods on a fresh copy of minecraft. just reinstall optimine again
hey this texture pack is epic just one thing for the flowers translucency thing ive made a mod so that every block can have translucency. So with your flowers if you wanted them to have translucency just leave all the textures at 100% alpha value and change the flowers to something with less alpha value. THe only bug it has is that you cant see water or clouds through the translucent blocks. I cant fix that :/ but still it will work good with flowers cause there so low on the ground you wouldnt be looking at water anyways. Just a thought if you wanted to It also works with glass but water still dissapears :/ anyways bookmarked for later. THe link is in my sig.
Awesome work on this texture pack. The GUI is really well done, as are most of the textures. Just a really good job overall, congrats on capturing the Borderlands feel so well too.
That said, I do have a few quibbles

I don't know if this is a bug but the diamond axe has random gray "parts/pixels" coming off the front that doesn't look right.
Some of the tools have messy edges, which really shows when you are holding them in your hand, so the texture is blown up. If you could just take a few minutes and clean up the tools, I think it would be worth the effort.
Another thing I've noticed are the friendly mob textures. I'm not really digging the filthy pigs nor the faces on a lot of the mobs. If you get a chance to redo these, I would like having an option here.
Finally, this one is a bit tougher, but some of the textures, like grass and dirt, do not tile that well. If you could smooth out some of the splotchy areas and make them connect more, they would look less like individual repeated blobs and more like an interconnected larger group.
Anyways, I really like what you've done and am ejoying using your pack!
I tried again and this time I didn't change the "Tile Size" bar to 64x64 but I left it at 16x16, have you did the same thing?
And it works now!
Perfect, but where I have to insert the zip file? Or I have to insert the texture? You say me that I have to insert them in the .jar file, how can I do this?
The thing is that if you leave it at 16x16 then the patcher won't set the offsets for the size of this texture pack. It needs to be 64x. So setting it to 16x and inserting the texture files into the jar file as far as I know, will either crash the game, or you'll get wonky textures, like textures in textures and other anomalies.
But if you do get it to patch at 64x then open the minecraft.jar file in the
C:\Users\ Your-username\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin folder. You will find a file named minecraft.jar, you need to open it with an archive program like 7zip or preferred winrar.
Note: Note that the AppData folder is a hidden system folder and as such if you don't see it then you'll have to alter your folder properties in your operating system so that it shows the hidden folders. As an alternative you can go to your start bar, choose the run command and type in %AppData%\.minecraft\bin
that should open windows explorer to the folder that holds minecraft.jar file.
Then just drag all files necessary from this texture packs archive into the minecraft.jar file that is open in your 7zip or winrar window.
But I'm telling you, you need to get the patcher to patch at 64x for this to work.
I'd suggest you go to the patcher topic and post in there your troubles to try to get somebody more knowledgeable to help you out on why it's not finishing patching when you try to patch at 64x64.
In your items.png sheet there is a couple booboo's.
1. The door icon is one pixel too low for where it should be so it's showing up that one pixel line in the book icon below it.
2. The book icon below the door icon is a couple pixels off to the right, so it gets cut off on the right side. You could slide it over to fit and then cut off the extra pixels that it then puts into the paper icon slot.
3. The iron door also gets cut off because it's a pixel or two into the slot below it.
4. Both apples have one pixel that bleeds into the icons below them.
I think that's all that I saw in the items.png file
Again, I'm not nitpicking, I just want to make you aware of the little things to make sure they don't get overlooked so that the texture pack SCREAMS out that it's been polished like a shiny apple.
Thanks for the bugs, guys. I'll add them to the list.
Truth be told, I've never been too happy with the grass and dirt textures. I'll probably just redo them. They were the first textures I did for this pack. :tongue.gif:
On another note, I've had some send me requests for changing the animal skins. As of now, I don't plan to revisit them since I'm doing another version of the mobs with the Borderlands enemies and I want to get this pack in a finished state so I can do other things. XD Sorry to those who don't like them, but maybe you'll enjoy the Borderlands enemies.
And if you're having problems with Minecraft crashing using this pack, first, read through all of the directions (there's a readme in the files AND instructions on the first post of this thread) and double check what you're doing. Then, if you're still having problems, go to the patcher thread and post questions there. I'm not trying to be dismissive, but I just don't have the time to help every single person go step-by-step through the set-up.

Thanks for the info, personally I think the animals are great and look forward to what you will do with the grass and dirt...as an improvement on something already great will be amazing :-) Thanks again! When do you think the next update will be revealed?... I am just so impatient!
heyy man, this is my favourite texture pack ever btw, but im having serious problems with it and im hoping you can help (: when i load up minecraft after i patch the files it lags so much and it is impossible to play :/ im not sure if its a problem with BETA or something but all other textures HD work fine. hope you can help.
Thanks
It might be your graphics card. I would suggest playing around with the graphic settings in the game and see if that helps. Also, if you're using the 128 texture, you may want to try the 64 one as a test. HD textures make a computer work harder. :wink.gif:

I'm really trying to get the next version out by the end of this week (Sunday). I've got a good bug list to work through. It should be a good big one. :biggrin.gif:
Compatible with Beta 1.2_02?
Nice texture pack, i must try it!

I just got the new update this morning and have been trying to make the texture pack work but whenever I try to start minecraft it crashes after the mojang scene. MCPatcher also isn't working so I tried to drag and drop the file into the texture packs folder. Is there anything I can do to get it back?
I don't understand, why it's not working for me for some reason. And I don't get why if I have the Patched Version of the Texture Pack on my Desktop, how will I have it in my texture pack folder. I'll retry with more attention next time.
I suggest that you change the mobs in the game to look more like Borderland stuffs. Perhaps the pig could be a skag, and skeletons could be Bandits. Maybe creepers could be psychos.
Wow it looks absolutely fantastic, totally changes the feel of the game (for the better). patcher is updated so... :biggrin.gif: just need the 1.3 items now. i love the whole cellshaded look, and i concur, mobs need some love whenever you add the new items.
Woo.
