I haven't been able to update lately because of work getting a little crazy. I'm now working on Borderlands 2 so I'm drawing a ton and spending a bit more time at work. My outside projects (including this pack) haven't much attention. So I apologize. I'm hoping that I'll be able to figure out a good schedule for myself so I can fit everything in. Thank you so much for your patience!

TBH, I think Borderlands 2 is a little higher priority than a texturepack for an indie game :tongue.gif:
Looking forward to it greatly!
Just keep up the great work. Rather you perfect art for a AA title that I WILL buy :biggrin.gif: after all it pays the bills :tongue.gif:
No it didn't. Very likely your issues are cause by either not installing MCpatcher or something to do with mods. However
*snip all caps rage :wink.gif:*
or... his PC can't handle the awesomeness that is 128x textures... :wink.gif:
If you follow the Instructions like everyone else you would know that it is you sir that has done something wrong! Pack works fine for me on my work laptop, work PC, home PC, OTHER Home PC AND my fiancee's laptop... which covers both Win7 and Mac OSX so... yea...
I just downloaded this pack (latest version), as well as mcpatcher. I followed the instructions and what-not (actually I probably didn't and don't know), but it still crashes. I'm probably not doing it right. I can play it fine when I go to test it on mcpatcher, but not when I launch the actual game. Minecraft y u no work...

Are you running any mods? (Besides MCPatcher)
Try this:
1) Run the game (if you can, if not see below)
2) Set texture pack to the default in the Mods/Texture pack menu
3) Close the game
4) Relaunch
5) At login window click "Options" and choose "Force Update"
6) Close the game when you get to the menu again.
7) Run MCPatcher and ONLY click "Patch" (making sure HD Textures and Fonts are ticked, better grass as well if you wish)
8) Run game again
9) Select Bordercraft from the list in the Mods/Texture pack menu (if it's not there, click the "Open Texturepack Folder" button, then copy the bordercraft.zip to the folder you now see opened. Go back to MC and it should be listed.
10) Create a new Singleplayer map to test on (so as to not corrupt anything important)
11) Enjoy!
Can't launch the game at all? (from step 1)
If you can run the game at all, open MCPatcher and click the unpatch button, this SHOULD restore the unpatched jar
If you still cant run the game after unpatching, you can either go straight to step 5 above (not recommended) or go to your minecraft folder
- Windows: C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
- Mac OSX: /Users/yourname/Library/Application Support/minecraft
and delete or rename the options.txt file THEN go from step 5 (deleting/renaming this file reverts your settings to the default, controls, audio and video settings, as well as removing the last visited SMP Server)
EDIT: Why do I keep doing this? I should just make a mini wiki or something.. Oh I cbf :tongue.gif:

It was running perfectly fine until I created a chest, and when I right clicked on the chest. Then it crashed or something and it said that "Minecraft has run out of memory. This could be cause by a bug in a game or by the Java Virtual Machine not being allocated enough memory. If you are playing in a web browser, trying downloading the game and playing it offline. To prevent level corruption, the current game has quit. Please restart the game".
Edit: I actually kind of fixed this (I think) by setting my render distance to normal, instead of far.
Hey, Dr. K. I was just playing borderlands and I noticed something. The facial rigging...sucks...a lot. Hopefully the animation guys at gearbox will work on that. Granted, facial rigging is one of the hardest things to do in character animation (I know I have tried and failed miserably). But I think it could be done better for the second installment. :biggrin.gif:
@pyrohawk Well, thats kinda rude. I imagine that it will be included in the art pack when that is finished.

You draw for Borderlands 2? O.O
Make sure them fools at Gearbox get their netcode kicking ass this time! I wanna play some Borderlands with friends for a change without the dreaded superlags ... but otherwise I played BL completely solo and have yet to complete DLCs.
I understand you are a busy man but would it be possible to add support for other mod's textures as well? Things such as Plastic Craft, Build Craft and TF2 teleporter (because I intend to use them, no other reason :tongue.gif:)
Also, I'm using this texturepack in my LP series from episode 25 onwards ^^
Cheers and hope that all the Borderlands 2 art is as sexy and true to form as the first, I highly doubt a talented individual such as yourself could mess that up though!

PS: One texture that could use some work definitely is the chest. It should be more like Borderlands chests, in my opinion.

It may be that some items you have created with mods are crashing MC. When I used the airship mod, I created the items for it (engines, airship, and so on...) and put them in a chest. After a reinstall, I did not install the airship mod, and every time i clicked on the chest with the items (or came into view with any item created while using the mod...after I destroyed the chest :tongue.gif:), MC crashed. This is due to the fact that MC is calling on an item that is no longer supported (due to not having the mod installed).
If any of that makes sense.
*Edit - That is friggin awesome about you working on BL2 Dr! I can now actually play using your pack cause of a computer upgrade...so YAY! for both of us
A Minecraft texture pack in the style of Gearbox Software's Borderlands.
I plan on iterating on these textures so feedback is very much appreciated. Let me know what you think through comments and/or email. This is the first version. There will be a version with Borderlands items and Borderlands characters for mobs (skag pig anyone?).
Will do any mod support with this texture pack Dr.K?
I might. It depends on the complexity of the pack. If it's just a couple textures here and there and if a ton of people use it, then maybe (that's a tentative "maybe").
Looks like the iron bars, stone brick, cracked stone brick, mossy stone brick, watermelon tops and sides, the tops and stalks of the two giant mushrooms, and then the bottom looks like the explosion image I keep hearing about. Not sure what that "dust" image next to it is.
This one has three stages of a bow being drawn, I suppose for the new charge mechanics, what looks like watermelon and pumpkin seeds, watermelon slices, raw and cooked chicken, the new rotten meat?, and then raw beef and . . . then it gets weird. I can't tell if the old cooked pork is the new cooked beef, because where the cooked pork used to be is a lightly colored meat . . . so I guess cooked pork is the new cooked beef, and the new cooked pork is the light brown next to it?
Lots of new stuff to add! Hope this post is useful to you!

It doesn't seem to help much. I just end up making posts like.
"look at the url above the banner in my signature. That will answer your question"
