Must admit this comment is a little smart ass-ish.. I'd like to see you put together a texture pack of this quality, maintain it and keep it all 100% perfect. Looking at your textures, can't say there's much in the way of excellent originality and creativity..
There's only a couple very small hiccups, and really.. it happens..
People have lives out side minecraft.
Also, you may have read that Ashley was unwell this last few days, so give her a break.. seriously...
I don't mean to be offensive but you just seemed to read the start of my post. I was saying that with all those faults how can it be so good, You just repeated what I intended to say.
No I did read your whole post, the last sentence didn't make sense so I wasn't sure what kind of point you were trying to make.
If you are praising the pack then that's cool, just didn't sound like it. Text is emotionless
it sounds amazing I cant wait to try it out I would definitely love to see the borderlands creatures/characters as mobs also that would be really neat :biggrin.gif:
Either slothy89 or the maker of this pack, can you please fix the torch particles? there are two of them, and one of them is always on the right side of the screen. These past 15 minutes with the updated pack are freaking me out, just because of one pixel. *Looks at minecraft screen while holding a torch* *Shivers*
I was trying to find those pixels today. I downloaded all three versions and couldn't find anything obvious.
@Dr. K have you considered that the problem may be in the particles.png? If the smoke particles were to hang over even slightly that may be causing the issue. Don't really know though. I only had time to give it a cursory look.

You know, that's probably what it is. I haven't been able to do serious bug fixing just yet. I downloaded the 1.7 update and it currently won't load. This is just with everything on default. XD
Also, er yeah the shears are completely wrong. I put the wrong thing there. :/ Should be fixed in the next couple of days as well as the achievement menu.

I run GIMP, load up terrain.png, zoom in and delete the pixels. I do this every time a new release of this pack is out.
I can't really see the pixel in GIMP but I know where to delete. As a previous poster said, just put a black layer behind, maybe that would be easier to see them.

I'm using the 64x pack.
The thing is, if they are stray pixels then they would show up. I looked at the 64x and the 32x, both at the torches themselves and at the particles involved. Like I mentioned the only thing I can figure is that the smoke particles overlap. I had a similar issue with my torches when I downsized from 128x to 64x. Turns out the the edge of the wool bled over into the torches during the re size. Kinda weird how that worked.

if you resize using the Nearest Neighbor method it usually helps stop the pixel bleed as it doesn't try to soften the image in any way, more so in enlarging, but pretty sure it works for reduction too.
It's especially good for upscaling the default textures when using them as placeholders in HD packs since the HD packs are magnitude 2 increases :biggrin.gif:
I agree. It is actually really annoying. And the animals and signs are white. Does any1 else have this problem? Any way, can you please fix it Doc K.
But, apart from that, AWESOME TEXTURE PACK.
The issue with things coming out as solid white isn't the fault of the pack. Something is going wrong when you patch the game for HD textures. I'll confirm this once I get home (just under 2hrs)
I just tested both the 32x and the 64x. All the mobs are drawn in correctly as well as the signs. However I have to reevaluate my opinion on the stray pixel. (BTW, for those of you who are unfamiliar with making TPs it is only one pixel. It just has been rendered twice). IF it were something to do with the smoke or fire particles than the pixel would move. Because it is stationary it pretty much as to be attached to the torch. It appears to be in the upper right hand corner but for the life of me I could not see it. This may mean that the pixel has an opacity of like 5% or something. Minecraft, is kind of obnoxious in how it reads transparencies. Anyway. I hope my observations help, at this moment I am near delirious with exhaustion so I hope that this is coherent as well.
On a side note my bro just bought me the Borderlands GOTY from steam for $7.50. Awesome deal! Dr. K. did you work on borderlands at all?

mate, the only thing borderlands about this is the GUI. everything else simply.. does not fit the theme of Pandora. but the gui's are good so 5/10.
From what I understand this is supposed to be a fusion. Borderlands graphics style meets minecraft cubism. So if it doesn't look exactly like pandora I think it is because it is also supposed to look like minecraft.

Oh wait, stray pixels on Torch, Full Grown Wheat and Spruce Saplings using 64x.
Great work on this though, I thoroughly enjoy it.
I might download all three versions, go through it, remove all the oddities (if any) and send it to Ashely.
I only noticed the strays on Wheat in 1.6 (128x), haven't checked if they're still there though. Hows that sound :biggrin.gif:

Give me 3 hours, and I should be able to give it a go
