Still using this pack without fail, thanks for all the updates!
I went on an... expedition... to find a wolf the other day just to see what they looked like in this pack - fantastic job. Unfortunately the wolf killed itself not too long later, followed by a second found and tamed wolf which also killed itself :sad.gif:. Either way, everything about the pack is wonderful.
Your wheat looks (even more) superb with the waving wheat mod, by the way, if you haven't seen it already!
If I wanted to go about speeding up the flowing water animation, how would I do that? Just add more blocks to the .png?
Most of the bugs you guys have reported from the new version have been fixed. Such as the redstone issue, the fast graphics grass, the torches, and the placement issues.
Special thanks to: Kastrel, Citybuilder, Lilyo, and anyone else who has reported bugs in an awesome and reasonable manner. It's made it so much easier to update the pack and make it better for everyone! Couldn't have done it without ya. :wink.gif:
This thread has been a ton of fun so far.
Hurray Dr. K! I'm glad to help. I went and checked out the updates in the 128x pack, and, here is a comparison to my previous list.
- Redstone Displays as pink blocks - FIXED!
- Birch Sapling Pixel Overlap - FIXED!
- Pine Saplings Pixel Overlap - Still present
- Cacti are displaying their sides on the top - FIXED!
- Whiteish pixels on top of fully grown wheat - Still present
- On Fast graphics, the sides of grass display solid dirt tile - FIXED!
- Pine wood pixel overlap - FIXED!
I decided to download the 64x pack to see what I could find, and comfirmed the following:
- Pine Saplings Pixel Overlap - More severe than in the 128x pack
- Whiteish pixels on top of fully grown wheat - Same as 128x pack
- Torch white pixel - Definitely a 64x exclusive, its there
All the other recently fixed 128x issues were also fixed in 64x.
I hope this is helpful information for you when you have the opportunity to update again. As always, your work and time are appreciated!
Great pack! However, for some reason it takes longer to load than my other texture packs. Once I get it started, it works really well but it takes about 3 minutes for it to load (ie. my minecraft freezes until it works again). Also, the GUIs don't fit in all that well to the theme of this texture pack. It seems too 'modern' for the design of the texture pack.
Anyway, everything in the pack is amazing and what I have just said is only my opinion. I could alter the GUIs myself but I really have nothing to work on...
I'm not sure if you have played Borderlands, but the GUI is actually a near carbon copy of the interface from Borderlands . . . the theme of the texture pack is inspired by that of Borderlands. So while it may seem counterintuitive, this is merely the style from which the entire concept was derived. If you haven't played it, the game is a futuristic sci-fi based RPG shooter, but it takes place on an extremely backwater, redneckish wasteland planet, where everything is gritty, dirty and rough, even though the technological level is advanced. The artistic style is cel shaded and often filled with harsh, charcoaly outlines and is done in a uniquely stylistic manner; a VERY good example of what something from the Borderlands world looks like are this texture pack's Iron Doors and Bookshelves (notice the little squares all over them).
Placing blocks with this texture pack locks my client and crashes it. I tried this on 2 other machines with the same results. A friend tried it and also had the same problem.

Do you have the latest version of the MC patcher?
I have "mcpatcher-1.1.12_02" Grabbed it off your site. Might want to update the link :smile.gif:
Really nice texture pack with great graphics and obviously a lot of work put in it. However, there's one thing that's missing - pictures. At this point, the pictures in your texture pack are the default minecraft pictures, which creates a silly contrast considering their low resolution.
I've been trying to collect some appropriate Borderlands art to do an art pack for Dr. K., but I don't have quite enough yet. The real issue is finding stuff in the right proportions for the kz.png file.

What about cropping the box art in to one of the painting sizes? I'd put that up on a wall... or 10 :smile.gif:
That's one of the things I wanted to include. also, the wanted posters for the Vault Hunters, the Robo-lution propaganda posters, and some great posters I saw from a guy named MarkuzR on deviantart (but I'd have to get a hold of him for permission on those).
The problem is the proportions required for the kz.png. I need 6 pictures that are 1x1 square, 5 that are 2x1, 2 that are 1x2, a 4x2, five 2x2s, two 3x4s, and three 4x4s.
If anyone has recommendations for good pictures that I can use (i.e., from the game materials or permitted work), feel free to PM me with links and pics, or post them here IF Dr. K. doesn't mind. I don't want to hijack his thread, even if the goal is to help out.

Hi guys for some reason I am having the same problem as a few others. Pack is amazing and I hate using any other now. But when I use it online at the moment whenever i do a right click action it just freezes my MC and then shuts the window :/. Any ideas or solutions?
Same Problem for me. I used the new Patcher. I first thought that the error was caused by a mod, so I tried another Texture (Misa, which supports 1.5.1) and it works! I also tried the vanilla version, but with Bordercraft it doesn't work. I love your texture, I hope you find, where the problem is.

If anyone has the game on PC, some high res screens could be cropped to any size. Landscapes, portraits, etc.
I have it on Xbox, and I missed the Steam sale, unfortunately :sad.gif:
A shot of the Rakk Hive encounter would be pretty cool. Is there anywhere that lists the necessary dimension ratios for each portrait size in pixels?

Basically, you can use the kz.png that comes with the pack as a template.

This is a vary nice borderlands texture pack and I'm enjoying it vary much.
its a lot better then most I've seen and I'm glad you didn't add borders to everything as that makes the texture pack a bit less enjoyable to the human eye. I did notice that the torch had a few stray pixels though, so that should be fixed.
Thank you for making this texture pack.

some suggestions:
make the chetst like the red ones in borderlands
redstone should look like eridian lights
wolves = skags
cows = Rakk hives
spiders = spiderants
char skins like roland,brick,reaver,krom,...
maybe i could help ^^
Thank you for the suggestion, but I really wish people would at least read the first post. I mention that I will be doing this in a separate version for people to download. This version will include Borderlands mobs as well as some item changes.

This is only happening for the 128 pack btw, the 64 works fine :\
Thank you for the update by the way! I am looking forward to it once I can finally download it.
Edit: Download is working now :biggrin.gif:

This was fixed in the update released yesterday, try re-downloading and installing to fix that issue.
