Bet you didn't, or it would work.
What's the version number of the patcher you used?
And do you have any mods that might be causing a conflict? We need more info before we can find out what's really wrong here.
Sorry, I'm new to minecraft, modding, etc.
Anyway, the MC Patcher I used was the "MC Patcher HD fix 2.0 beta4" (viewtopic.php?f=1021&t=252531)
I'm running the 1.5 update and I downloaded the 64 bit BorderCraft texture pack for 1.5...
The mods I have currently are Single Player Commands, Too Many Items, Mod Loader, Audio Mod, a NorseCraft texture pack, the old versions of Human + and More Creeps an Wierdos, and the Elemental Arrows from Rusagami.
Note: All my other texture packs that I ever used worked...its just the Bordercraft that crashes my MineCraft.
EDIT: Is 1.5 the same as 1.5_01 because 1.5_01 is what my MineCraft says I have... O_O

The other texture packs are 16x packs, so of course they will work even without patching.
Odds are it's either a mod conflict or something was installed in the incorrect order.

"Don't know why you should feel that there's something to learn... it's just a game that you play."
I fixed the "Fast" graphics grass, and the redstone. Just replace terrain.png in the texture pack with this one. (this is for 128x128)
link removed since it has been officially fixed now
To the Author: Feel free to check out what I changed to make it work so you can fix the pack. Please note that they changed the way the redstone textures work, and the grass pulls from different spots depending on if the graphics are set to "Fancy" or "Fast".
This is certainly my favorite texture pack out there, I just wish I didn't have to patch it, because the patcher doesn't work on my Laptop, which I use for Minecraft more often. The torches are my favorite part of the pack. Mobs didn't work for me though D: Anyway. It's great.

I would have a Rainy Day texture pack image here, but it was too big.
That's a safety feature, to prevent people from messing with the game if they cannot follow the installation instructions on page 1.
HINT: Make sure you are using the latest version of the HD texture patch. It's the very first link on the page that comes up in step one of the instructions.
@Dr. K.: You may want to link that step directly to the new Beta 4 HD patch to make things easier for the intuitively impaired. :smile.gif:

There have been a lot of issues with this last patch, on both the game's code end, the texture pack's end, and the user's trying to use both! I've filtered through all of the complaints in thread since 1.5 and tried to personally verify each issue so we can consolidate them for Dr. K. Here is the list I have compiled:
This applies to 128x, I do not have 64x.
- Redstone Displays as pink blocks
- Birch and Pine Saplings have overlap from the tiles above them (may potentially mean fire it too low)
- Cacti are displaying their sides on the top
- Whiteish pixels on top of fully grown wheat
- On Fast graphics, the sides of grass display solid dirt tile
- NEW: Pine wood seems to have overlap at the top, it looks like its displaying a pixel from the redstone dust. Particularly visible when more than one are placed on top of each other.
There are multiple complaints of white spots on top of torches, but I could not find them on Fast OR Fancy, wall mounted or floor mounted. I suppose they may be in the 64x pack, but I can't verify that right now. Anyone have anything else to add to this list, related to 1.5 issues specifically?
Either way, thanks for your time again Dr. K, your work is always appreciated!
do i have to redownload this for it to be 1.5 compatible ?
Yes. It will probably work still, but it won't work well. Certain textures have been added to the game in 1.5, and they may either show up weird, or be invisible.
You may want to hold off a bit, as the current version has some buggy textures, particularly redstone wire. Thats your call.
Basically, Dr. K. just has to either make the 2 squares below transparent, or decide what overlay he'd like to use in that area. Simple fix once he gets the time for it.

Most of the bugs you guys have reported from the new version have been fixed. Such as the redstone issue, the fast graphics grass, the torches, and the placement issues.
Special thanks to: Kastrel, Citybuilder, Lilyo, and anyone else who has reported bugs in an awesome and reasonable manner. It's made it so much easier to update the pack and make it better for everyone! Couldn't have done it without ya. :wink.gif:
I'd have been able to help you more readily if I hadn't received an involuntary vacation for... shall we say, assertively encouraging someone to do that which he admitted he was "too stupid" to do for himself.
Amid all the plagiarism and posts from people who haven't read the help threads, amid all the commercial and pharmaceutical spam, my words were apparently harsh enough to overlook all that and suspend someone who was in the midst of solving an issue that affected every custom texture pack out there. Thankfully, The_Fool76 was able to keep the thread going in my absence. Sorry I couldn't get word to you last Tuesday - it would have been more timely and saved you the trouble of an update.
