I really need help, i installed the hd texture fix and the texture pack works but when im playing on my worlds i get really low frames, 1-3 and they immediatley go up when i press f3? can anyone help improve my frames without using F3, my frames averaged at about 20-30 w/o texture pack. Please help.
I love your texture pack, and it is by far the best i have used, but i am having trouble. i have recently updated to 1.3, and i cannot get past the MOJANG screen without an automatic force quit. I'm not really sure why this is happening, and i'm not sure if you do, considering I'm on a Mac. if you do know, that's great, but if not, could you send me a link if you find one on a way to fix this? Much appreciated.

Which resolution texture pack are you trying, 64x or 128x? If you're trying to use the 128x, then redo it all and try using the 64x instead. If you're already trying to use the 64x, then all I can think of is that your computer is not up to the task to run the higher resolution texture packs.
I can't explain why you get higher fps when you use the F3 button, doesn't make much sense really.
Can Someone Help When I Try To Use This On My Laptop
It LAGS LIKE CRAZY!!!!! I CANT EVEN MOVE!
I EVEN USE 64X64
The first thing I would do is go into minecrafts graphic options and set everything to the lowest possible settings. Also turn the fog on so the view distance is very short(you can do this while in game by pressing the F key). The second thing I would try is putting the priority of minecraft up from normal to high(not realtime cause that can crash it). To do this make sure minecraft is running and open the task manager by either right clicking on the taskbar at the bottom and select taskmanager or pressing ctrl + alt + del and select task manager. Click the processes tab and you should see one named java something or other. It should be using the most memory. Right click it and select priority and set it to high. The third thing to do would be to go to this post viewtopic.php?f=25&t=132717 and install Optimine. Just follow the directions over there and it should help at least a little. Mine craft wasn't even playable on my girlfriends laptop and now I can run around online with no problems using all these methods. Also remember that you will have to set the priority of minecraft everytime you close and reopen the game. All the other setting should stay until you update to a newer version of minecraft. Sorry about the long post and I don't mean to take the spot light away from this amazing texture pack but I hope this helps anyone that is lagging to run the game a little more smoothly... Have a good day everyone and reply if these methods helped you or if one didn't change anything.
Something about the terrain.png textures just doesn't seem.....borderlands-y.
Same with the weapons/tools. Everything needs to be abit more cel-shaded, and not so jagged with the outlining.
Cel-Shading doesn't come from textures in borderlands, its a shader effect.
In my honest opinion, and as someone who has fully beaten Borderlands (+all DLC) on the XBOX 360 (gotten every achievement too) Something about the terrain.png textures just doesn't seem.....borderlands-y.

It's cool that you beat Borderlands. You probably know the game well because of that. I do have a decent understanding of the art style though. I work at Gearbox (as an artist) and I have studied the same materials and process used to make the game textures of Borderlands to make this pack.
There are some things you can't get across with just the textures. There's lighting, FOV, and shaders that all go into making a game's look. There's a plethora of mods that can aid in that. Like the one Archangel pointed to.

And here is an example video with another texture pack:
As far as emulating the game in minecraft, that would take another version. I wanted to do something that still resembled minecraft but in the Borderlands art style. I do plan on releasing an alternate version that's more like Borderlands (including an alternate set of mobs and some different environment textures), but some people just like the art style but want to still be able to recognize minecraft in there somewhere.
When I first started out, I did try omitting the green grass to try an emulate the more desert location of Borderlands, but the look just eliminated a lot of variance in the environment. Too much brown and not much else. This was also before biomes were released.
I've been working on trying to get that shader to work with my pack. I definitely want to post a video showing off the combo. I think they would work well together. :3
Well, apart from the black lines that you get on the clouds (or the water if you're flying), it's awesome :smile.gif:
You can find the CEL shader here : http://daxnitro.wikia.com/wiki/Alternat ... Shaders%29
And you might want to select this one :
# Blackops7799: SSAO, bloom, AA, DOF, and cel shading - final.fsh
Because the others are kinda buggy...
I loved borderlands, but the graphics simply fit minecraft even better for some reason. Everything looks like it is supposed to be there, dirt feels like it has weight to it. Its just perfect!
One problem though I noticed is my game will go black screen and not respond for no reason, never happened till I installed this pack, maybe its just me though.

If you know how to program you could just write your own shader code. Speaking of that, you should see if you can find someone who can write a cel shader for the texture pack. That would be awesomeness!
Do Not download this pack no matter what you do because it crashed my game and i cant get it back up evin though ive compltely uninstalled the program and im not sure if ill ever be able to get inecraft back up without losin all my information.
If you saw my latest post on this forum, and you are having the same problem with the 1.3.2 update, than the problem is the patcher. by deleting my bin folder, i was able to use the newest patcher to reset everything here is the link if anyone is having trouble on their macs ;D viewtopic.php?f=25&t=46173

I'm assuming you didn't use the patcher. If not, you have to make sure EVERY file from minecraft is gone, not just the game itself. you have to delete the whole minecraft folder, including the .zip used to download it. re-download everything. i had the same problem with my first texture pack (so-and-so's RPG pack)
Wanted to drop my first post here to say thanks for this great texture pack. Loved Borderlands' art style, and where better to fit it than here on minecraft!? Very well done, thank you.
I also played with the shaders thanks to DaxNitro's wiki, and the following quoted post, so now I have Cel-Shaded Borderlands-ish Minecraft!

@CJ, do you know if there's a way around the black lines on the clouds? I was going to dig in to that a bit, but I'm wondering if perhaps you have already?

Hey again. I'm sure many people have noticed this but when creating a bed the icon is invisible. Also, when placing it down it just turns purple. It's kinda funny but i prefer the awesome raggedy look of it. Thanks!
