Loving the pack, looks soo awsome. But When i patch the 65x texture my game just crashes, i dont know if im doing something wrong or its my computer . Could you plz help me.
(I use a MacBook btw)
Hope you can help me because i LOVE This pack
I, too, am having similar difficulties. I downloaded and applied both at the same time, because I didn't know how my computer would react to the higher res. I am running windows 7, and I can give you the error message if it's useful.
I am also using windows 7 but it works flawlessly, what patcher are you using?...try keeping the files in the zip and delete any previous backups of the minecraft.jar. After messing around and trying stuff out it worked for me so just keep trying. This texture pack is defiantly worth it!
Oh yeah I was going to ask, can I use this in my signature to promote this awesome texture pack?

Actually to use the patcher that was selected, I have to default to the regular texture pack... Which is currently impossible for me because I can't start minecraft, do you know where I could find the folder for Textures outside of the program?

Yeah, if you just leave it as a zip that should help out. It's so easy to screw up the jar file. Make sure to download the latest version of whatever patcher you're using. Once the game went into 1.2, the patcher I had been using freaked out and would black screen.
I was lazy about it before but I think I'll go ahead and post a tutorial on using the patcher I use on the thread. I've gotten enough emails about it recently.

You can't start minecraft at all? How far does it load to?

To the Mojang Icon, then It takes about 2 minutes to send the crash message...

Exact same thing is happening to me.
Okay, I just tested both the 128 and 64 versions and they work. I only get a crash if I set the resolution to the wrong setting. (i.e. setting it to 64 when using the 128 sized textures) and that doesn't happen until after the world is loaded.
So I think if you delete your current minecraft.jar and then run minecraft to allow a new one to download, that should fix it. I've even had to delete the entire minecraft folder and then run minecraft to allow the whole game a fresh download to fix crashes like that. Just make a copy of your saves folder to your desktop and copy them back once you've re-installed minecraft.

If I could just find the texture pack folder that it accesses wouldn't that fix it too? The problem is I can't find it...

yeah it will fix it, but you'll lose your saves.
Go to the start menu and search for 'run'. Type %appdata% and .minecraft is the folder. The textures will be in the bin folder in the minecraft.jar file. You can just delete that and then start minecraft. It will re download it. And your saves will stay intact since you won't have to touch that.
And if you just delete the minecraft.jar file and the game get stuck on downloading, then exit game and delete the version file in the same folder and then restart the game and it will download the minecraft.jar file as well as the others that it needs to run properly.
So do you work for GearBox? It says it on your blogspot. Again thank you so much for this pack, my bother is already using it and I am giving it to my friend. I so can't wait for the items and gui! Are you going to do retextures for the weapons when they are held?...probably a stupid question but I think it would really complete this pack! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It says she is making a theme in accordance with the styles of Gearbox's game, Borderlands. She does not work for Gearbox. :tongue.gif:
Would be crazy if she did, though! Certainly has the pixel art abilities for it.
I am not that stupid, I know the theme is in accordance with borderlands and all that but on her blog which she gives a link to, I clicked view my complete profile: http://www.blogger.com/profile/01368924367808331921
There it says Occupation: Environmental Artist(Gearbox)
That is why I asked :tongue.gif:
maybe I should of said that...my question was quite loose
I also looked up where gearbox is located out of and it is Texas, and it ends up this gal is from Texas and went to college or is going to college in Texas due to her smu.edu email...wow I feel like a stalker... ;-) so it seems like she is fairly legit unless she spent all that time creating a bogus blog. Also Environmental Artist is a legit job listed on the gearbox website. If this is true I am very excited to see what else she has in store for this already amazing texture pack!
Thank you so very much for this amazingly beautiful texture pack, and for the huge amounts of patience with me and all the other n00bs that didn't read the directions

Diamonds for you, madam.
Hey hey no problem. I'm always happy to help. :biggrin.gif: I'm doing this for fun, yeah, but I still want people to be able to play it! So I will try to help anyone who asks if I can.

Definetely downloading. Will tools be made with Borderlands Style?
Yes, they will! I'm working on those currently. The menu items texture is a big one so it's taking me a while.
And catching the super space flu certainly didn't help. ^^;

I do actually! I started there last August. I went to Guildhall hence the reason why I still have the smu email.
Sorry to hear about the flu and I am super jealous about the gearbox job! I was guessing you actually did work for them because the amazing quality of the textures and how nice they go together. One more thing, can you put all the cool borderlands mobs and items in here because you are giving it out for free or is there any copy write issues with it? I wouldn't think so because you just basing it of it...and you work for them but just a question... still very jealous lol ;-) hope you get well soon!

Haha, thanks.
But yes, there will be a version with Borderlands enemies and items. I just wanted to do a version with just the art style as well so you could still have creepers and what not. The mobs take a while since I'm having to do a lot of painting. I'm going to finish up items, weapons and armor and then move on to mobs I think.

The cake thing is fixed and will be up in the next update. I'll make sure to take a look at the cactus as well. Thanks.

If I may knit-pick, however? CHANGE NOTHING! 8D
I cannot wait to see what you do with the weapon models, clouds, icons and GUI!
