So, I'm currently building a texture pack (Romecraft) and I wanted to start building a 32x32 version.
However, when I tried to edit items, I got this glitch when they were being held:
32x32 edge in Yellow, 16x16 mess in orange.
As you might be able to see from the outline, it seems like the sword is trying to render the 16x16 edge, but being confused by the 32x32 texture. Any advice on how to fix this?
Also, my brick has been attacked by the 16x16 animations of fire and portals, but I think I just need to go make those files 32x32 also to fix it.
Minecraft doesn't have HD texture pack support, you need special mods to do that. There is a mod called "HD texture fix" that fixes all the bugs that HD textures have when applied to vanilla minecraft.
Notch is speculating to make "unofficial" HD texture support (32^2, 64^2, 128^2, etc.) for minecraft. He (along with me, him, that person, and a lot of other people) doesn't like HD textures because he feels that it takes away from the feel of minecraft and tries to cover up the fact that minecraft is made of blocks.

I'm not officially on these forums anymore, as I've quit to the new forums. If you see me online here, it's because I'm inviting people.

I thoroughly agree, I wouldn't make anything past 32x32 since it looses its Minecraft feel by 64x64. (Though it looks nice). Thanks!
