Having a texture pack with higher resolution than 32x32 is quite senseless for me. The blocky style is meant to be played with some pixel art textures.
I tried some HD 128x128 packs, but i really felt something was wrong about it.
The only hires i like is Bordercraft, with its cartoony style, which I think is very good for that game.
I can't stand the original 16x16 textures, which are too granular, but I like simple and clear texture packs.
I think that the textures don't have to be realistic at all, since the blocky style isn't.
I'm glad to see that there are some very good artists over there, who provide really good packs.
After all, there is one for quite every taste. :smile.gif:
16x16 anything else sorta "ruins" the whole "feel" of mc for me. Plus anything above 32x32 just seems like its trying to hard, like their trying to just copy paste photos of ores and rocks and pasting them into the texture file.
