I know it's kind of stupid for my first post to be on exture packs, but I was just hit with an awesome idea. I already unzipped the minecraft.jar, and I heard i'm supposed to open the "terrain" folder with paint.net or something similar. Well, I'm sort of concerned, because the only contents of the folder are the moon and the sun. Also, how hard is it going to be to switch back and forth between the default texture pack and my new texture pack, because I'm still sort of on the fence about changing thet nice art, and if I don't like it, I'd like to put it back.
Not the terrain folder, the terrain.png. It's in the minecraft.jar's root. That has the actual terrain you need. And yes that doesn't make sense me that terrain is not in the folder called terrain.
I looked in every folder in the unzipped minecraft.jar, and none of them have the png of the different block textures (which, as I understand, is terrain.png). Do I have to unzip anything else?
go into the Gui folder and look at items.png
