Anyway, I have no problem with your dirt anymore, it just grew on me or something, but i think wooden planks could be a little bit darker. Sandstone is too "flat", maybe you could add some noise?
If only I had the time! I've got a code freeze Friday for a massive graphics demo plus two programming projects due Thursday and an entire shader to rewrite in about two hours tomorrow, in a shading language I hate.

Your approach to pixel art isn't really my cup of tea (it's good work, I'm just more a fan of the style Eld is working with... Bitmap Bros, XCOM, etc) but some of your ideas are absolutely killer. I LOVE the cubic sun & moon, same with the armour & the "paperdoll" for the inventory screen... and the different tech levels of your weapons & tools are great, I especially like the stone "sword" being done like an Aztec/Mayan war club.
Are you planning to update this for 1.3? If so, only the redstone repeater/delayer and the bed need to be added, the new halfblocks/slabs use the texture for their full-size counterpart. Also, the way redstone appears and its position on the terrain.png got 'ed.
I'll be redundant in another long line of redundancies...

At first I didn't think I'd likeit that much, but I tried it and I have to say this is the best 16x16 I've ever seen. All we need is a 1.3 update. I'd like a bed that isn't two purple blocks. ^^
Argh, time, time, time. I'll work on it this break my (apparent) fans. Sadly, my redstone circuits will no longer have the appearance of "dust that aligns upon powering up", which is a real shame. Its one of my and my friends' favorite parts. Oh well.
I have the new blocks sketched up already, and the delay/diode tile is already done (its super nifty). Its coming with new and cooler redstone torches, too. Sandstone is getting something new, not sure on the specifics yet. Might touch up lapis blocks and add another animal texture, probably sheep.
I'm also considering filling all currently unused ties with a crate texture with a colored question mark on it, so that while I find time to catch up on a release new items aren't invisible/purple and such.
