I go for the Adamant Pack or Jehkoba's Fantasy Pack. They're two great packs that are more than just "Clean, Simple!" They have style, unlike so many clean packs.
My Cel-Pak, though not discussed often here, is incredibly popular. It's Minecraft Workbench's 3rd most popular texture pack of all time, and their #1 most popular 16x16 pack. At present, it has a almost 9,000 downloads there (#1 most popular is Misa's at about 11500, then Doku's RPG pack at 11450ish. 4th most popular is Glimmar's Steampunk at 6800ish, IIRC), and about 15,000 total.
Read the title. It's about quality, not popularity. This pool is missing some packs to be taken seriously though. Fine, Eld is my personal favorite 16x16, Pixeludi is great, and I can understand something like LZPack not entering since it's rather new, but where's Moontrain's Lucid Pack for example?

Every person has different standards. My pack, for one, is as popular as it is precisely because of the quality. Specifically, BECAUSE it's a different type of quality from most other packs.

That's why I think this pool is kinda biased. It should have more packs, not only 5 or 6.

From that list I pick Elds, cause I'm unoriginal like that.
