So i have this idea for a texture pack but im not very good at making them. So for all of the nerdfighters out there i have this list of ideas for a nerdfighter texture pack. (I admit in advance that some of them are pretty bad.) if any nerdfighter or anyone in general would like to help, please do. Pm me.
Might not be that great of an idea. There really is nothing to base it off of so might as well just a make an original texture pack. I assume when you talk about Nerdfighters you are talking about the vlogbrothers.
I think this would be a pretty epic idea and maybe considering Hank does videos of him playing games on his gaming channel, Hankgames, we could base it off of what he is playing.
I had actually found lots ideas for item replacements. Although you are right about the absence of things to replace blocks with. My ideas for items come from lots of past videos and other nerd stereotypes.

Replace Pork Chops with Hot Dogs, post-cooking, Corn Dogs.
Replace the Cake with Pizza.
Change the Mojang loading screen and the Minecraft titles appropriately.
Make all the helmets into various stuff-on-head.
Pumpkin GUI change = Glasses.
Swap out all the paintings for the thumbnails from famous Brotherhood 2.0 videos / Hank's album covers.

I like the helmets being stuff on heads. my original idea was to make the armor harry potter house robes or Ezio's outfit from "hank plays assassins creed brotherhood 2.0" but incorporating your idea we could make the armor tops be various shirts from dftba records.

iron: sonic screwdriver (from doctor who)
diamond: the word "awesome" (because nerds use their words instead of weapons and i couldnt think of anything else) could also be a lightsaber
gold: trumpet or trombone (for the bang geeks)
Bow: wand (from harry potter)
Arrows: green light/lightning (avada kedavra)
Tools:
Picks: crowbars (from johns demolished wall project)
Food:
Cooked porkchop: corndog (hanks favorite food)
Bread: pizza (johns favorite food)
Fish: normal sized squid of anger (edible giant squid of anger)
Cooked fish: sushi
Stew: blenderized happy meal/peeps (from brotherhood 2.0)
Armor:
Leather: hufflepuff robes
Iron: ravenclaw robes

Gold: gryffindor (these are all interchangable)

Paper: nerdfighter note (the one placed inside john greens books)
string: Dragon heart string/unicorn hair (harry potter) (for the wand/bow)
Buckets: same buckets but chemically labelled (so water would be H2O or something like that)
Powered minecart: Hybrid car (like the prius or chevy volt) or an electric train (both for the ecogeek)
Storage minecart: Freight car (going with the train idea)
Bowl: blender (for the blenderized happy meal)
Fish: Baby/Normal sized giant squid of anger
Cooked fish: Fried calamari
Fishing rod: net (to catch the squid)
Ink sack: ink jar (i dont know why i just thought it seemed a bit nerdy)
