I've always had custom texture packs for myself, as I find the actual Minecraft colours to be too saturated, but I've recently been thinking about releasing it to the public, not sure what I'd call it, since there isn't a central theme, but before I do, I want to come up with good replacements for two new tree types.
My thought process is that I should make them infected versions of the regular tree, afflicted by some kind of blight, perhaps they're slowly dying and turning ashen gray or they're literally rotting away, as if they were infected by the same kind of ailment as the zombies. I think this would make traveling through forests more atmospheric and threatening if done right. However, I'm not quite sure how this would work, or if it is what I want, and I was thinking I could ask for suggestions for replacement trees. I want them to be basically the same as the original tree (clearly not a different species) but different somehow.
Suggestions would be great, thanks.

My Grandmother passed away on Sunday, the 7th of August, 2011. I am taking an extended leave of absence in light of this. My apologies.
