I love this texture pack, makes everything look so much better, especially the stone, water, and lava. Although I never like HD people skins. They don't ever look nice to me.
The one thing I really notice, is the sparkling water. From far away, as you look at the ocean, you see it moving and sparkling.
Lol, thanks guys. =)

Perhaps I misunderstood you. I copied the client folder (without terrain.png) into the mincraft.jar. Is this wrong and I have to copie only the files? That could be the reason then.
What about modloader?
Is it possible to upload a minecraft.jar file with LB textures and wild grass mod (or does this contain login data?). Or could it be possible to make a screenshot of an explorer like expanded filestructure of the jar file which contains all data which are necessary? That would explain in an easy way.
Thanks all for your help.
Yea, you were suppose to copy over just files within the client folder and not the folder. I can't post a .jar because it's against the rules and a perma-ban isn't something I wish to have at this point. =)

I tried the 64x64 version, and it still doesn't work. It seems that no matter what I do, it always makes the game crash.
Make sure you downloaded the right Java version (thats the problem that seems to come up with all the people I've helped install the pack - which is about 5 now ), that your PC can run 64 bit Java with 2GB of RAM dedicated to it and that you've enabled it to do so.
BTW, anyone notice how much worse the graphics are getting on vanilla minecraft? A bit more and it will look like a giant pixel world.
P.S. Still can't wait for the bump-map...
I think his issue is lying with the patcher or something incompatible at this point. Have you tried a fresh reinstall yet? I'm running out of ideas. =S
But yea, the vanilla textures suck, in my opinion. "Retro" was never my taste, we left that era years ago... It's kind of like people walking around with Roman clothes when everyone else is walking around in T-shirts and suits.

I absolutely agree. I'm ashamed to show people minecraft vanilla, but with your awesome pack and the GLSL shaders, their first thought isn't, "Wow, this guy plays the lamest looking game I've seen since 1994..."

Lol, I can understand and a ban won´t be nice.
My problem was solved. Moving Files from the client folder and not the folder itself to minecraft.jar was the reason.
Thanks a lot for your help. And I have to say, LB+wild grass is perfect. The only thing, if you have half sandplate and below no solid ground the grass grow through the sandplate. But thats a wild grass thing.
did you just move the minecraft client only? no other work? :I
besides my frustrations with wildgrass, the airship mod by pchan3 is amazing. you should really make it compatible with this texturepack, that would be awesome.
EEEEEEEE I got it to work! it was so simple, 2 step process. Why was it explained so indepthly?
Because an amazing amount of people on the internet can't figure it out when it's so simple. This and near any other HD texture pack's thread are prime examples of people's unwillingness to follow simple direction. =)

64 bit Java is the version I need? *Barely knows anything about Java*
Sorry if this is a stupid/already answered question, but how do you install the wildgrass textures, do you just add the correct wildgrass folder to the texture pack file?
Perhaps I misunderstood you. I copied the client folder (without terrain.png) into the mincraft.jar. Is this wrong and I have to copie only the files? That could be the reason then.
Precisely - I made the same mistake the first time I tried. It's easy enough to misconstrue the directions for that.
The files within the client folder should be copied into the top-level directory of the minecraft.jar and then it should work fine.
BTW, the newest versions of the WildGrass mods solve the issues I described before.

QFT.
The internet should require an IQ test before you are able to connect to it.
Begging thy pardon, but my IQ is 142, and even I misunderstood the instructions included in the WildGrass mod. I had copied the client folder into the minecraft.jar because that's how such things typically work, and the grammar in that step is indeed ambiguous.
I'll agree that most of the issues people have in this forum can be solved by just reading the instructions, but that door swings both ways - the instructions have to be clear and accurate and impossible for even a novice to misconstrue.

Do you have a 64 bit operating system with equal to or more than 4GB of RAM? Then yes.
Exactly. 64bit Java is for 64bit operating systems only. As you have a 32bit, you won't need it.

I may be wrong with this because I don't install the modloader version, but I think you copy the contents inside the "wildgrass" folder into the .jar and it should work.
I'd recommend looking at the wildgrass thread for instructions.

I did get it to work, but for some reason the grass doesnt show up on the side of dirt :I
Eh, that's because that's a different mod entirely. =(
Better grass does that and last I checked, it wasn't compatible with wildgrass. Probably works now, I'll look into it.

It's really hard to understand why people are having such a hard time with this, but then I realize that I've done it for the past 2 months continually. XD
Installing texture packs is easy - only issue I ever had was when I zipped one up and it nested the files inside a folder of the same name within the zip. Simple enough to fix once I realized the error. Even modifying texture packs became simple once you guys explained how easy it was to cut and paste my favorite tiles into a personalized terrain sheet.
What we were talking about is the Wildgrass mod - the included instructions were, indeed, ambiguous. I hope my rephrasing makes it easier for Bacto and Fraggle to get it running.
But some of that difficulty may have been compounded by the fact that the last couple of test builds ejhopkins released had a bug that was crashing the game - in error, he forgot to update the link to the "fixed" build, so what we were getting was the same file, and the same crashes. So even when we were doing it properly, it wasn't working. That makes it harder to distinguish between user error and an inadvertent bug.
Got it working now that ejhopkins released a new build and all's well that ends well. I might try the BetterER Grass mod alongside it now that I've got a better grasp of how to install mods.

Funny enough for like 2 weeks my pack had that issue and I couldn't figure out why nothing was working in the texture pack folder. XD
Hmmm.... Poor Enji, lol
It must have been frustrating knowing that everyone was still getting errors even after he thought he posted the fixes.
I'll have to try out that betterER grass mod sometime because I miss my smooth hills.
Lol, thanks guys. =)

Is deleting the 64 bit thing an issue with 256x256, and if so, will 128x128 work?
I have a 32 bit OS.
How much RAM do you have? Sounds to me like you don't have enough RAM to use this...

The 64bit Java is nearly required to run the x256 so without it, it probably won't work. The x128 should work fine without it, though. =)
