I was building an underwater mostly glass house to take advantage of the glass textures smooth look.
But, I have an issue. The water animation at the top of glass I don't mind. But, the constant flowing down animation on the sides when looking out is distracting.
Is there a way to disable water from looking like its flowing down the sides of glass when it's underwater?
Doesnt work for me, minecraft just crashes ive tryed x68 x128 x256
yes i have patched them with mc patcher and changed my java heap size still doesnt work
ffs
Ok, what exactly is your error/what happens and what are your computer specs?

Hey there, Scuttles! This is a great texture pack! I am attempting to download the latest version but it appears the site that is hosting it (Sundergaming) is down. Firefox and IE both say they cannot reach the server there. Not sure if you can do anything about that, but thought you should know. If it seems to be working for everyone else, then I'm stumped as I've downloaded your pack several times without ever encountering this issue.
Yeah, it's a hiccup. Should be back up soon, but for now just use the Mediafire link.
MIGHT not be until tomorrow, depending on how bad this hiccup is.
Note that I'm not hosting the site on my own servers, so really there's not much I can do.
Haven't seen it go down like this before though, servers must be getting EXTREMELY hammered.
EDIT: AND IT"S UP.
EDIT2: Spoke too soon?
EDIT3: Okay, it's fully up now.
Damn you Scuttles, lol.
EDIT4: AND ITS DOWN AGAIN.
The site does NOT have a rape whistle.
EDIT5: And it's up. Keeps going up and down, like your mom.
Uh oh.... =(
I seem to be consuming huge amounts of bandwidth.
Lol, I don't know what to say... Will your other site have better severs? =D

Unfortunately I think that is a hardcoded issue. =/
I've never built underwater structures so I'm not sure myself, sorry.

Quite honestly it's not the overall bandwidth that matters, it's the bandwidth that is being used at one time...
Maybe there's a way I can 'optimize' it from my end, not quite sure.
But yeah, I'm not getting new servers... just a new, shorter, domain name.
The host I'm on now may not have the BEST uptime, but it isn't terrible and the download speeds are fantastic.
Seemed like what happened now was just a fluke, but I'll look into fixing it myself.
K well that version might take longer to get out than I thought, I just spent 6 hours trying to work this out...
APPARENTLY photoshop CS5 handles RGB mode layer-edits exclusively through the "4th channel" "RGB" which tricks plugins (like Nvidia's normal map filter) into thinking it's actually an alpha transparency channel when it's not. Also, CS5 has determined that all my work prior to photoshop was stupid so it removed the alpha channels from all those pngs without my permission/knowledge. Fancy right?
::sigh::
Scuttles, or anybody, do you know anything about how PS handles its alpha channels? Dax's mod will only receive height data through the normalmap's alpha channel, which CS5 refuses to make simple/possible. It insists on forcing the use of it's "built-in" transparency which is not supported for the mod, not to mention inaccurate. Figured I'd ask here before I made accounts on other forums, since nobody else has had this question answered either.
I'm this -->| |<-- close to saying "**** it" and buying a copy of CrazyBump. Either that, or pirating every version of PS until one doesn't give me this problem, followed by a DDoS attack on Adobe. Prolly the former.

I have no knowledge of the alpha channel issues. I haven't played around much with the bumpmapping before giving up, but I was using CS5 and it was working fine. =/
I used the Nvidia plugin for the bumpmapping. Then, I touched up the textures to make the final touches and it turned out quite well.
Anyway, DDosing the hell out of Adobe won't work with just 1 computer. =(
Best of luck, though. Try out CS3 if you're going the piracy route. There are plenty torrents out there that work beautifully.
DISCLAIMER:
I'm NOT enticing piracy, just stating an opinion. =)

Hmmm... Well, it seems to have fixed itself so I wouldn't be too worried about it. Probably just a minor hiccup.
Doesn't hurt to explore possible reasons, though. We'll see tomorrow if it happens again. I really want your mirror to become the "official" because it's just not a pain in the ass. XD
Also, will I need a new FTP account for this new domain?

Were you using the results with Dax's mod? Idk what this is crap is about, but I might have to try CS3.
And I'll just go find anonymous if I'm going to strike; they're bored enough to help.

Yea, and it looked fine in Dax's shaers. Keep in mind this is bumpmapping only because my specular lighting was extremely broken. =(
Lol, Anonymous is getting into some serious hurt with Sony at the moment. I doubt they want to attack another big corporation. I really think they bit off more than they can chew because in their latest video they sounds almost afraid.
Sony has many of their IP addresses and they want them to not investigate them? We'll see how that goes. =/
They've done some pretty humorous/cool things over the past few years, but the reason for attacking Sony was just bogus...

I add the wildgrass folder which contains the pngs and the client folders, which contain the classes for wildgrass. The test was done with a new generated single player map. On the second day I saw no wild grass :sad.gif:
Have you installed the modloader? I believe the new wildgrass requires that as well. Yea, it's ridiculous how many loops you have to jump through just to get grass growing on blocks. =(

Good to hear... I think. =D
No big deal if I have to change, though.
Any issues today or is everything running smooth?

I get this error when I run the original launcher with the 256 texture pack. When I come to the Mojang logo the game just closes. I have tried the java memory thing also, still same problem.
PC spec:
CPU: AMD PhenomX4 945 3.0 GHz
GPU: Radeon HD4850
RAM: 2x1 GB 1333MHz
-code-
Looks like an issue with the HD patcher, but I don't think you can run the x256 with only 2GB of RAM. I'd strongly recommend trying out the x64 or x128.

then i tryed again with the normal minecraft.exe and it crashed when simulating the world for a bit, loading level

Hmmm... Have you installed 64bit Java? You have the appropriate system and it should increase stability in Minecraft dramatically.
I dont understand how I use the given wildgrass mod for this pack, can you please explain? also im terrible with mods I have no idea how they work.
ok:
1 - if no others mods are installed, download the wildgrass and use the given client mod. however do not copy over the terrain.png that is given.
2 - if you have modloader installed, you can either use the client version, that i explained above, or use the modloader version, however if you use the modloader version you will have to download this: http://adf.ly/19S5B and use it to replace the one given in the wildGrass mod pack.
3 - you have SDK Mods installed, do not use the client version of wildGrass because there is a compatibility problem, use the modloader version and continue as explained above.
hope this helps anyone!
Which reminds me, Did you test it out/meet your expectations for the 128x icons.png for runbar?

yeah i fixed it, deleted java and .minecraft folder and reinstalled everything and now works fine also single player commands updated so that might of fixed half the problem

i followed your instructions, and the game opened normally, which it normally didnt. However I cant seem to find anything indicating the pack is working at all. No grass covering the sides or water lilies or anything.
