so i had this texture pack before the 1.4 update. then i get again after everything is updated and something has to be wrong because im getting the water and wat not like realism but then im getting stone and sand and almost everything else as defualt skins. were did i go wrong?
The only problem I have with these super high quality texture packages is that they look really good when you see around you close by, but it looks so horribly disturbing if you look into the distance...
I love the cobblestone block textures (one of my fav's, esp. with dufric88's magic on it as shown on his video [of which I'd love to see more of, unless it takes away significant time away from the bump map itself]). The only issue is that they look so similar in my inventory, I have to mouse over for the text to figure out what it is for each stack. Not that big of a deal though.
Sorry to hear about the .psd... I did that once too on a project and have been quad-backing-up my stuff with email, external drive, main PC and laptop to prevent that. As they say, "never again!".
Yea, the .psd issue slowed down some progress, but all is well as I have like 40+ backups in .png format. XD
The cobblestone differentiation with the regular stone is an issue now because I no longer have that .psd allowing me to swap out stone textures for the minerals. =/
I'm not sure if we should just live with it, or I will have to redo all my minerals...

I love this pack and all but I must have done something wrong because my MINECRAFT doesn't work anymore... Which kinda sucks but i like the pack anyways.
Hmm... What method of installation did you do and what are your specs?

This is definitely my fav 256 pack! and with wildgrass, well im just speechless. my only issue is the glass, its a bit too modern for my castles and other ancient stuff, perhaps if you can include an alt with some decorative iron grating of some sort that would be awesome.
and happy birthday!!!
I'm messing around with some glass textures as we speak. People have already said just about the same as you and it doesn't fit into the "rough" feel of this pack.
Thanks. =)

Happy birthday!
I got to say this is the best texture pack I have tried, this one and the borderland packs are my favorite. And a little (not so little) request. I have been using your textures with a lot of mods and i´m using Industrial craft, Is it possible for you to make new textures for this mod?, the world i´m playing lose its awesomeness by the textures that come with Industrial Craft (most of the machines look like washmachines ) Or could you explain if there is a way i could make my own textures for it, im kind of proficient with photoshop.
I've had a few requests to do that mod now, but I'm not interested in additional texturing for outside modding until I finish this pack up. =)
As I'm unfamiliar with that mod, I'm not sure what textures you have to redo for it to work.
Twas a happy birthday indeed. ^^

How to you get the fluffy grass like in the pictures?
Wildgrass, sir. =D

With HD rain, Minecraft will be beautiful. I thank you, keep up the amazing work.
Rain will be damn good as well as the snow. With a higher resolution I won't have to have those obnoxious flakes that were in alpha Minecraft.

Happy Birthday, Scuttles! You're an icon in the MC texture community. :smile.gif:
Haha, never thought I'd hear that. :biggrin.gif:

Thanks, mate. XD
A creeper seemed to have slipped into your trove of treasures. @[email protected]
OMG.
This... This is... AMAZING!!!I love this pack! :biggrin.gif:
But unfortuneatlly, there are some issues.
-Very laggy startup
-Sometimes the game crashes on impact and closes itself (could be a bug of Minecraft itself)
The laggy startup is usual. Nothing out of the ordinary there, but the crashes can be resolved in a few methods. Try following the video near the bottom of the main post or install Java 64bit.
Hmmm. In that case, maybe its not that big a deal. I like your minerals, so maybe its not worth it. Maybe if you had an idea for something better and some spare time, otherwise I can live with it.
I installed Java 64 Bit and it worked ! Thanks a lot for this very beautiful texture pack,I'm loving it.
So,greetings from Germany to all Minecrafters here :biggrin.gif:
Greetings Germany. =)
I'm glad you got the 64bit Java to fix everything. I've never had an issue with 64bit Java ever since I installed it months ago.

What page can I find a picture of the wolf? Currently using Misa's, but that Wolf is UUUGLLY!
Sad news. =(
I use Misa's mobs for night now until I can get around to making HD ones.
What I did was made the wolf more black and white instead of that brown, though.

I would appreciate it if you could post pics of the same scene, but w/ different resolutions, so I could tell how they differed. :smile.gif:
I could do that. =)
It's a very minimal difference between 128/256, but the 64 starts to blur a bit.

sorry to be a pain here, but there are compatibility problems between Wild Grass and SDK Guns...
please could you do a separate 128x or 256x .png of the grass for the ModLoader version of this mod?
if you get what i mean... :wink.gif:
I'm working on doing that today. I'm probably going to have it release within a few hours if you don't mind. ^^

My thoughts exactly. =/
I certainly learned my lesson, though.
Ive been trying out the amazing Industrialcraft mod, but some of the textures are extra lacking in excitement.I think if you cranked out a few skins for the pack people would really dig it, because there are alot of people who share my opinion.
All the new machines are really boring, basically blueish grey blocks with various black patterns that light up, but there is a LOT of potential there for making some cool stuff.
Also, because the blocks are so simple it makes everything seem very clean. My workshop feels more like a laboratory than a factory. Making the machines look dirty and oily would really make industrialcraft feel Industrail!
the nuclear reactor, would be awesome!, maybe some sort of block of black pipes that glows blue, so instead of treating the reactor as a 1x1 meter block, you could stack them and make a large "core" submerged in water that would generate electricity http://www.physlink.com/education/askex ... ae219a.jpg
anywho, this is a lot to read considering you already have your hands full at NOT making an industrialcraft pack, but I would be glad to help during the summer with producing one, I'm pretty good at photoshop and would enjoy doing something like this (being a physicist : ) )

Within a couple of hours. =)
I'm finishing some touches. This update is mostly some changes and improvements to the terrain.png.

This is an interesting mod that I've considered doing as many people have requested it.
Unfortunately, I will stand by my previous statements and I'll continue to finish the final touches on this pack before moving on to other projects.
Hope you understand and can hold out for a while. =)
What does the wolf look like? Misa's is just plain ugly, so I'm considering switching. I actually really like default wolf in MC, its really cute.
If you prefer the default wolf you can use that one.
Open up the texture pack, go into the "mob" folder, delete wolf.png wolf_angry.png and wolf_tame.png.
Exactly. Besides, I'm heavily modifying Misa's wolves for the same purpose.
Oh, and anyone have any wolves on hand? Mine died and I'm sick of running around trying to find one. They can be my beta tester for wolves in the next update. =D

Asura23 had made a really authenticwolf skin for 64x, you might find it easier to work from that. The only problem with those skins is that the eyes are too low and far to the sides, easily corrected.
I made some modifications to it but I'm not really much of a texture artist - I'm sure you could do a better job than I did and you could probably upscale them nicely as well.
And I have a kennel of six wolves that are glad to help test this for you. They did a stellar job helping me to refine Asura's skins and I'm sure they'd be glad to help me assist you. They work cheap - they take their pay in porkchops.
