I am also getting the java.lang.OutOfMemoryError But i have changed my heap size to -Xms256m -Xmx2048M
When i am running minecraft i have 2.2GB of Physical Memory that is available.
I've had that error before, except I only had 930mb, as well as black screens and such. I've posted this before but maybe, if you can, should try a 64 bit version of Java. It fixed my problems.
I haven't checked to see if you fixed this in 1.4 yet (just downloading it now) but on the last version, there were extra pixels on the diamond hoe graphic when carrying it.

I think he said something about fixing it...maybe...lol too many posts..
Interesting. It would certainly make for better closeup screenshots. ^^

The custom water wont work... The water is always like it was normal even when i activate both animated water & custom water... Help please?
Try doing a manual installation of the pack instead of through the patcher. That should work 100% of the time.

hey, how did you do the traintrack like the curved bit sorry for the noob question
--edit--
think ive got a brief idea how to do it. But if you want to share some wisdom plz do so :tongue.gif:
A great way to do this would be using the "puppet" technique in Photoshop. Keep in mind the tracks have to be completely perfect to line up with the left and right turns.

I'm having the same issue with the game starting, and the game freezing in a blackscreen, once the mojang-logo is gone, when I'm trying to use the 256x-pack my specs are:
-AMD-phenom 9950 Quad-core 2,6 GHz
-4GB Ram
-Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 (896 MB)
Is my computer simply to bad to handle it, or might there be another issue, I don't have the slightest lag while using the 128x pack, after all...
Thanks
Your computer seems more than capable of loading the 256 without issues. I'd try updating your Java and follow the Java heap size video on the main post. Also, 64bit Java is almost required for the 256x256 pack, so if your computer is able, I'd look into that.

This texture pack does not work for me.First i have installed the 256x Texture Pack but after a few minutes minecraft closed itself. Then I installed Texture Pack 128x.But it was the same situation i could only play about 5 minutes longer. So i installed the 64x Texture Pack^^ but after 15-20 minutes it was the same, minecraft closed itself.
I Change the Java heap size and I tryed it withoud this heap size. With Minecraft 1.4 and 1.3.01 but it doesn't work.
My System :
Intel Core E8400 @ 4050 GHZ
4GB of Ram
Sparkle Geforce 285GTX+
Asus P5KC
I hope someone can help me,because this Texture Pack is AWESOME ! ^^
Edit : Misas Texture Pack works for me.
thanks in advance and nice greetings from Germany.^^
Welcome Germany. =D
Anyway, it seems like an issue with java itself instead of the texture pack. I'd try installing Java 64bit since you've already tried the video method.

I downloaded the 256x256 pack and followed the directions in the video. However, I still get a black screen upon loading a map after about 2 min. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated, I really want to keep this pack :/
Computer specs? You may also want to try and downgrade to the 128x128 pack.

Great job Scuttles, I LOVE your work!
I'm using 128x128, works great with a 64bit-java ;-)
scuttles = Batman
dufric88 = Robin
You are a great team, keep it up guys
Best duo comparison I've ever heard for us. XD
I'm not sure he's released anything past that "buggy" version. It was more of a gimmicky teaser than an actual release anyway. :wink.gif:

Hey!
I didn't really like the glass; I don't really think it matches the rest of the pack, so I decided to make some glass textures on my own..
-terrain-
Maybe you could take a look at them and maybe some of you like it. :wink.gif: (Btw: replaced the torches with the Enhanced one's.. I like them better, too..)
But all in all: GREAT, really GREAT texture pack.. awesome!
For all of you: Just replace the terrain.png with this and run the patcher to test it! :wink.gif:
My glass does seem a bit "modern" in comparison to the rest of the pack, but I really couldn't find a happy medium which I've used as many other textures. I try to maintain a theme that will allow very great flexibility in which structures you are able to build.
I haven't tried out your alternative, but I will give it a look. =)

Nice pack, all the blocks acted weird when I just walked (256x) like the stones all glitter, you know?
was (just a little, but still did annoy me) slow too, so I installed the 64x pack, and works fine =)
I'm happy. Thank you!
That's the lack of any form of texture filtering built into the game's coding. Unfortunately the toll are those "glints" when using higher resolutions.

Your texture pack is amazing. I wish I could donate man, but money's tight.
At least I can give you this.
I will accept that diamond with as much appreciation as any donation. =D
Tried using the 256x pack with the HDpatcher, and it crashed after the mojang loading screen. Tried patching to 128x then putting the .zip into the texture pack folder and it worked. I then tried to load the 256x pack through minecraft, and it crashed. I installed java64bit but not sure if it did correctly.
At least I can give you this.

just uninstall the old one.
Here is the link:
Even after reinstalling minecraft still says there is a broblem with minecraft.jar

Yup! XD I just tried it out, all you need to do is re-patch it :biggrin.gif:
Well that's great to know! And no, I am not being sarcastic.
Wait, I just have to re-patch...
