I'll be adding in Misa's within a day or two. I'm trying not to force people to download a fairly large pack just to have wolves, so a few fixes/updates will be included. =)
Scuttles, you should practice drawing people/animals so we can have x256 animal textures! ;-D
I'm actually working on some free drawing to practice for this. =)

'THINGS TO DO:
-Create a new pumpkin skin, although I'm starting to like the idea of a lantern
-Listen to the public and find out what the people want -Make a 64x64 bit version for lower end computers
-Working on making both packs more uniform
-Fix the kz.png to have all paintings be used'
Anything out of the ordinary?
EDIT----
2012'th post... :biggrin.gif:
If it is just messing up minecraft (just like mine) all you have to do is resize it from 256x256 to 128x128 in MCPatcher, and you gt everything from the 256x256 version, just a slightly lower quality and it actually loads,
DESTRUCTOR WILL COME.
Yea... I haven't updated my things to do list in forever, lol

I should show you my set up in Photoshop, is so sick...I have like 300 layers already and half of them are smart objects and other half are adjustment layers. I just got planks looking REALLY good, except for the spectral part. At this point, I'm gonna finish whether he updates or not just to say I did it. Worst comes to worst, I can put it on a resume for something.
Haha, sounds like my terrain.psd. XD
Planks to look really nice and the video was a tease. I was expecting a long one like the last, lol

Computer specs? You may just not be able to run the 256x256 pack. Try one of the lower resolutions.

How can the best texture pack available possibly be on page 2?

EDIT: Misa released Wolves.
Download just the wolves/new char.png (newer than the one in 3.1.4 at least) here: http://sundergaming.com/littlebeetle/mob.zip
Just extract the mob folder inside the zip file to the texture pack's .zip file.
(Extract the mob folder as a whole, not the individual files inside of it... those files should be in the mob folder inside the texture pack and not in the root directory.)
All credit goes to Misa, of course.
Indeed. I'll bump this because it's not added in that texture officially.
Quote from Zorm »
wow the 256 is amazing. The only problems for me are it makes my computer run at 10 fps and when i try to open minecraft it crashes most of the time unless i delete it from my texture pack folder =D Besides those problems it amazing though
Lol, yea the 256x256 is fairly demanding. It's far more demanding than people expect.

This is awesome!
It totaly deserves a :Diamond:!

I have been researching this for a while and after trying about 7 different solutions I found one that worked for me as I was having this exact same problem.
What I did was I created a new .txt file in notepad and I put the following into it:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\java" -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=false -Dsun.java2d.d3d=true -Dsun.java2d.opengl=false -Xms256M -Xmx768M -jar "minecraft.jar"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The lines are just for clarity, don't put those in the file :tongue.gif:
This is all well and fancy and basically says in the magic language of java to set the memory to a specific range, in this case between 256 and 768.
After this you need to go to File and select Save As and name it Minecraft.bat
Last you will need to go to the Official Minecraft website and download the Linux version of Minecraft.
I will be called Minecraft.jar, don't be worried about that it will work just like an .exe
When you download Minecraft.jar you need to place it in the same folder as the .bat you just created, or simply have both on your desktop. If they are not in the same location this solution will not work.
Once you have done all this you should be able to double click your .bat file and it should launch minecraft for you to log in and play, and though the loading screen will take a long time (it's a HUGE texture pack after all) it should load up and be fully playable.
Alot of people are under the misconception that you must allocate a huge amount of memory for these texture packs to work but on certain systems this will not work and will cause the JRE (Java Runtime Environment(The program that runs Minecraft to the less tech savvy)) to simply hang and crash. By setting it to 768mb maximum it is at what I suppose you could call the optimal memory allocation for minecraft for certain systems (Mainly ones running an older OS like XP). The system simply doesn't handle it the same way newer operating systems do, I don't fully understand why myself but I know that this fix might work for some of you so it is worth sharing. :smile.gif:
I apologize in advance if this solution does not fix your problem, I worked for hours on the same problem myself and this solution most certainly works for me but since computers are such complex devices there is no way to say for certain that this will work for everyone. I just hope this solution helps at least one person. Sorry for the wall of text XD
PS: If it does work, or you can build off my code to find a solution that worked for you please continue to share it with others

Uninstall your current Java before installing this Java
I downloaded the 256x256 pack and followed the directions in the video. However, I still get a black screen upon loading a map after about 2 min. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated, I really want to keep this pack :/
