You've got to be shitting me.....an update to the game and there's no changelog on notch's blog OR THEIR TWITTER ACCOUNTS OR MC.netOR MOJANG'S blog ?! Good thing update's are optional now, or I would definitely snail mail notch a bag of my own excrement.
new particles...cookies..wolves..that's it... nothing to worry about for the terrain
And a whole bunch of rearranged and obfuscated code no doubt. I.E. mods will be breaking and Dax looks less than interested in GLSL.
I'f awful at this patching stuff...but could you be more specific on how to install the texture pack? Where do I extract the .rar file and what do I do with it.
Patch minecraft.jar (in %appdata%/.minecraft/bin by default) with MCPatcher 2.0, and put the .zip folder of the texture pack in your texture pack folder (%appdata%/.minecraft/texturepacks by default)... then select the Texture pack in main menu.
Success.
If you're intension was to take minecraft away from me, then GOOD JOB.
If you're diving into texture packs you need to patch or mods without backing up your bin directory or having an active internet connection to download another then you should probably stick to the default stuffs.
is this now incompatible with Single Player Commands for some reason? I can't seem to use them both together
Texture packs themselves are only incompatible with mods that alter the .pngs that texture packs alter. Is the SP commands updated to 1.4 or it could use additions to the mentioned .pngs.

Thanks for this pack the best ever ! ! !
the 128x128 work verry well ! ! !
but whith the 256x256 i have a java error
########## GL ERROR ########## @ Post render 1285: Out of memory
Pretty self-explanatory error report. The Java is out of memory. The video on the main post will resolve this error unless you simply don't have enough RAM

Noticed that minecraft crashes when i try to craft a redstone torch...any ideas?
Just crafted mine without a crash. =\
Are you running any additional mods and what version of Java?

can't get 1.4, the wildgrass update won't work, can't find my save files.
Feel like quitting MineCraft
Had the same feeling. Then I went back to 1.3_01. =D

NOOOOOOOOO...
It doesn't work anymore...
When I login to my server, MineCraft locks up...
o_o
That's likely due to an improper patch or you're simply out of memory.

=D you guys been doin some talkin' while i've been working over here! LOL. Phantom, I'm honored you bothered to google me, screen cap the results, upload to photobucket, and post here. I'm also glad, I'm un-google-able as of right now.
Protip: The trick to the internet fame is to come out with a whole bunch of "something" all at once so people never knew you beforehand, but when they look for you all they can find is your outstanding work, then you just keep that rolling as long as possible and ???? and profit (internet money (worth less than )). Works on every medium online.
Anyways, I've been perfecting the art of normal/displacement maps and how the a shader program uses them. If I want to make a believable map I need to understand their intricacies. Plus my demo on crazybump just ran up... don't worry I was only using it as an aid, not a crutch, for shape recognition because Gimp's sucked ass. And never used it for spectral maps (they turn out SO blech!). So I'm switching to an Nvidia shader program for photoshop which I just got. We'll how this turns out. Anyways, (closing goes here).
You know me. I rarely get anything done on time. XD
Great to hear you've been making nice progress on the bumpmapping. Now we have to see if Dax updates his patcher so all of this effort wasn't for naught.

Damn straight!! =D
I'll have to message jigs about that. He has done an amazing job with those videos.

How do I delete something from my minecraft texture packs?
If you're on windows press the windows key and then "r"
A prompt will open up and type "%appdata%" without the quotations
Find .minecraft folder
Open texture packs
Delete pack
I'm assuming you can't get into the game and want to delete it?

~~チョキチョキ~~
I should show you my set up in Photoshop, is so sick...I have like 300 layers already and half of them are smart objects and other half are adjustment layers. I just got planks looking REALLY good, except for the spectral part. At this point, I'm gonna finish whether he updates or not just to say I did it. Worst comes to worst, I can put it on a resume for something.
What do I do if this pack screws up Minecraft? I cant even get past the logo without it crashing, let alone get to the page where I can take it off.
I assume it's crashing because you didn't use MCpatcher (HDFix).
But you can reset minecraft by going to options->force update in the launcher.
EDIT: Misa released Wolves.
Download just the wolves/new char.png (newer than the one in 3.1.4 at least) here: http://sundergaming.com/littlebeetle/mob.zip
Just extract the mob folder inside the zip file to the texture pack's .zip file.
(Extract the mob folder as a whole, not the individual files inside of it... those files should be in the mob folder inside the texture pack and not in the root directory.)
Yayyy I'm uploading another progress vid! Not as much new stuff in this one...just planks. But damn did I work hard on them. Should be up in a few hours...it takes FOREVER to upload a 1 1/2 minute file. Will post when finished.
EDIT- First upload failed. It didn't give a reason but after 4 hours of uploading and processing it all the sudden give me the finger. Maybe it was cuz it was 2.03 GB instead of the max 2 lol. uploading a shorter one now q_q
wow the 256 is amazing. The only problems for me are it makes my computer run at 10 fps and when i try to open minecraft it crashes most of the time unless i delete it from my texture pack folder =D Besides those problems it amazing though
