Never have to do anything but (read the directions posted in said pack thread) delete the bin, place the pack in the texture pack folder, and patch. Been doing it since October (I know..but how long does it take to get it right?) and hasn't failed me yet.

Sorry took so long to ad me 2 cents. Everything looks awesome though!!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
"This may hurt a little, but it's something you'll get used to...."
When I did the resolution thing on MCpatcher, another file appears in the binfolder called minecraft-1.3_01, right above the original minecraft.jar file. I'm not sure what you mean by "Don't move the other one in there from the main .minecraft folder."
4.Open said .jar with a .zip extracting program such as winrar or 7zip.
5. Click and drag the texture pack files inside the minecraft.jar that was just opened.
So I opened the minecraft-1.3_01 using winrar, and click and drag all the texture pack files into there. It works, and I exit out of that. Then close all of my windows and start up Minecraft. No texturepack.
I try to put it in the original minecraft.jar file. It has an error code, and when I try to start up minecraft it gives me the dreaded Java error code I've been posting.
Sorry for being a newbie, I'm just going nuts over this
I have always put my new texture and mod files in both my minecraft.jar & minecraft-1.3_01(or current version).jar & the game has worked for me. I've always assumed the extra minecraft file is a back up made by the patcher. I open both jar files with a right click and open with RAR. Then it's simply a case of dragging and dropping the files making sure the RAR replaces them. I make sure the jar files are closed before I test the game. If you're having trouble with RAR, then maybe reinstalling it would help.
Peace
Thanks, I understand it much better now. But when I try to transfer the files into the minecraft.jar file, it gives me:
The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
Which I don't understand. I don't have minecraft running, any thoughts?
I'm using 7zip by the way to open up the minecraft.jar file
Lmao, I had to turn my speakers on for that one. ;D

how do you get 128x128 texture packs to work?
Use the HD patcher and select the .zip you've downloaded in the texture pack area.
Link to patcher is in the "how to install"

It's simply great! My main texture pack now. One thing is, the front sort of "visor" on the helmets is kind of weird. Maybe cut out some bits on it? Or maybe remove the front? Also, the dark icons in the inventory screen sort of obscure the items which are kind of dark themselves. I can't see all of my items in full without rolling over them. Otherwise, it's great!
I haven't gotten around to construct the armor yet so eventually when I have my own armor it will be fixed. ^^
The menus will be a bit brighter when the GUI is finished so again, just a few things I haven't got to and are currently from another texture pack... Specifically Bumpmaft. XD

WOW! I never made the connection. @
I've been browsing your packs/threads for so long, lol
Btw, your "Gestankfaust" seed you posted so long ago on there almost killed me in the beginning with that falling sand.
Thanks for the 2 cents. I really appreciate recognized artists complimenting on my pack. =)

The new flowers and vines for the wild grass mod look good so far.
Thanks, they are almost finished completely. I've had all day to work. ^^

Access task manager and try to see if a minecraft.exe is running under processes. Minecraft is notorious for not closing properly (Atleast in my experience)
Access task manager and try to see if a minecraft.exe is running under processes. Minecraft is notorious for not closing properly (Atleast in my experience)
It should show up as java.exe (32-bit) or javaw.exe (64-bit)
Well I finally got the files into the minecraft.jar file. I opted for 256x prior to that. Do I have to specificy minecraft.jar under the dropbox next to 'texture pack' checkbox in order for it to work? Because when I do that, MCpatcher spazzes out with errors when I hit 'patch'.
I still get these errors: (Not specifying minecraft.jar under texturepacks on MCpatcher)

I hate to give up on this, this seems like a nice texture pack :sad.gif: Could it be my video card? I looked for new drivers on ATI HD Radeon 5750, couldn't find any. My OS is 64 bit, but java client is 32.. is there a 64 bit version of Java? could that be the problem?
Well I finally got the files into the minecraft.jar file. I opted for 256x prior to that. Do I have to specificy minecraft.jar under the dropbox next to 'texture pack' checkbox in order for it to work? Because when I do that, MCpatcher spazzes out with errors when I hit 'patch'.

In Xau's...no
Just run the patcher, and select it from the list. (all I ever have seen)

Here's something I've been working on over the past couple days. I was trying to make Fairfax castle from Fable and your texture pack just made it perfect! Love the pack.
I'm getting the same graphical error with the 64x64, the torch has two pointless, white dots on the upper sides =\.. Can this be fixed? Everything else with the text. pack is amazing :biggrin.gif:
Edit: I'm using a "fresh" Minecraft, no other mods installed, just the MCPATCHER'ed 64x pack.
MC UPDATED TO 1.4 LIKE 7 MINUTES AGO!
PACK DOESNT WORK CORRECTLY ATM! WAIT FOR SCUTTLES TO UPDATE!
* Added tameable wolves
* Added cookies
* Sleeping in a bed now resets your spawn position
* New Minecraft logo
* Holding shift while climbing will hang on to the ladder
* Spiders will no longer trample crops
* Lots and lots of infrastructure for Statistics lists and Achievements
is the changelog

Bro, pretty sure the HDFix needs to be updated... not the texture pack.
I mean the TP would need to add support for the wolves, but that's about it.
However im having a problem here, im trying to get it to work with the wild grass mod and im going crazy. I now theres a new version which you havent done textures for, so i have a simple question. Which version of wild grass do i need, which one is compatible and has working textures because i keep getting invisible vines and mini cacti etc
Thanks
It's almost 100% compatible with the newest version I just have to refine a few of the textures and it will be in the update TODAY =)

Thank you Pazaz. See, you're good for something, lol. ^^
Anyway, I added in a cookie textures. I'm not sure if I like it or not. The wolves/dogs will be the same as vanilla. I'll work on that later.

mcpatcher 2.0 works fine with patch... and it's more than just the wolves that got changed.. new particles..the cookie
Didn't realize particles were changed as well. I'll get on that too. ^^

Retired StaffHi Scuttles!!
<-- from PMC
Sorry took so long to ad me 2 cents. Everything looks awesome though!!
"This may hurt a little, but it's something you'll get used to...."
Lmao, I had to turn my speakers on for that one. ;D
Use the HD patcher and select the .zip you've downloaded in the texture pack area.
Link to patcher is in the "how to install"
Thanks, they are almost finished completely. I've had all day to work. ^^
Access task manager and try to see if a minecraft.exe is running under processes. Minecraft is notorious for not closing properly (Atleast in my experience)
Best of luck.
It should show up as java.exe (32-bit) or javaw.exe (64-bit)

Lol, small world indeed.
Keep up your great work. :wink.gif:
My bad, that's right it should show up as those. =)
Wow, beautiful picture. Absolutely stunning!
I still get these errors: (Not specifying minecraft.jar under texturepacks on MCpatcher)
