I typed it. Minecraft crashed on opening so i deleted the command line and...it still crashes because of it,its gonna take another hour still :sad.gif:
New snag, however q_q - it looks like torches are distorting no matter how I redo the _nh or _s files. I tried everything from blacking the texture out, to deleting the texture (in both _nh and _s) and I can manage to get rid of the white flanges, but the torch tex still splits into pieces at certain angles . And anybody else who can help with this matter is free to submit aid.

EDIT- for now I guess I'll study Misa's pack to see if the problem happens with it as well
that's a frustration bullet going into my head and the resulting carnage
Way out of my league on that situation. =\
I'll keep it bumped in case of anyone finding an answer. Good start with Misa, though.

Unfortunately I haven't experience an issue such as that and be sure to uninstall Java before reinstalling or it keeps a few registries and options preset.
What are your computer specs and do you have a 64bit OS?
This stuff looks really great! I'm really enjoying the awesome realistic style of Minecraft right now :biggrin.gif: I've been using the 128 pack only because at 256, my FPS drops down to single-digit frame rates. What specs are you guys running it on? I have:
Q6600 2.4GHz
GT240 512MB DDR5
2GB RAM
I'm thinking it's a RAM or graphics card issue. What do you guys think?
sent dufric88 my my new mapping to see if the glitch is in the shaders or the files. and maybe breaking mine down will help?
edit: btw I finally got my speculars working properly
Good to hear. Hopefully we can resolve some issues that way.

why do ur pixels have to be so small?!?!?!?!?!?!
just joking
but i wanted to change an item in the texture pack. it was a headache
Now you know what I have to deal with every item. =)
Perfection is difficult when you're playing with textures 256x larger than vanilla

Thank you and I'm glad you like it.
The issue seems to be more with your RAM than your graphics card. I'd probably say 3-4GB of RAM should be sufficient.

I'll be waiting in the corner... Creeping... For the update...
You asked what systems we are using:
Personally, x256 here running beautifully on my rig (200+fps), i7 950 at 4ghz, radeon 5970, 6GB triple channel RAM (1866mhz) 64bit OS 64 bit java, all running from an OCZ Vertex 2 SSD.
I havent tried any shaders with parallax occlusion yet because im still in the stage of running/frolicking around the lush vegetation rich green hills of my test world. ill get around to it soon.
Impressive setup and I really enjoyed the visualization of your exploration that new test world. XD
The shaders really do kick a computers ass, regardless of setup. It's mainly the poor programming, in general. (No offense to the shader modders or MC)
I just installed the 256 pack the other day and I am still just stunned at how beautiful it is. At first, I thought it might be too much for my PC, but after the initial loading, the FPS jumped up to a steady 45 or so.

Great job!
Lol, congrats on the nice FPS and thank you.

This pack somehow doesn't work for me, did clean install of Minecraft, then tried this pack. Just crashes when I start the game :/
Worked when I used it like a month ago..
The new minecraft update added just enough stuff to cause an "overload" on memory for Minecraft. Try using the Java heap reallocation video on the main page and see if that helps
If you have a 64bit system, installing 64bit java is almost required as well. ^^
The heap size? Why not just delete the command line you added...? o.O

Phantom's Survival Server [3KBCraft]
Already tried that...It still doesnt work...
Then you followed the video wrong.
Editing that couldn't corrupt your java install...
