Congratulations!
You have the recommended Java installed (Version 6 Update 24).
umm help?
Did you run HD patcher? It's required for packs above 16x16
hey pwned..whats that plugin? lol I have just been using the animation filter for it.. would like to be able to do it without animating it
ill tell ya more about well wat it does is say you have 32 layers it transfers the layer into one large slide so that Minecraft can read it so say you used gimps rippling animation that creates for example 32 frames the plugin makes each layer into this:
ALSO it requires that gimp has python enabled. and the files goes into the plugins folder.
after patching minecraft with your texture pack i have become unable to play with any others, including the base textures, as it automatically crashes on boot up. Can anyone help me with this? I like the texture pack i just get so much lag that i only wanted to use it on occasion.
Should start with a fresh minecraft.jar when patching...
Just use the Force Update feature of the Minecraft Launcher.
i've tried that over and over and it's still not working. The mojang logo shows up for maybe 4 seconds and then it gives an error, but minecraft closes immediately so i can't read the error.
This texture pack is easily one of the best around. I've been using the 128x version in an attempt to minimize the graininess in smooth stone and grass. Where did you get the wooden and metal doors from that are in the GUI portion of the 128x version of v2.9.0? The icon they use makes them look amazing but they look completely different once placed.
i was able to fix it by taking my version back to alpha 1.22 and letting it re-update. Surprisingly just deleting minecraft.jar and the version did nothing to fix it.
Version 2.7.0 (Getting Uniform) <---- I'm sorry for taking so long. I really am. =(
-Added many things to become more uniform with the 256x256 (See those updates)
-Fixed the texture pack for 1.3. These are not permanent changes and I would appreciate comments.
That, and the video I posted above shows "Minecraft Beta 1.3_01"
how do I make the grass grow to the sides?
everything is working, have the tall grass growing, 256 textures but the grass wont grow to the side of dirt blocks. just on top
what do I do? :<
I haven't found a stable flawless mod for the sidegrass anymore. I've been looking as well. =/

i was tired last night so had only given it a quick look
A bit of feedback; (my personal opinion only)
liked:
the coblestone texture made our buildings and my walls look good
the wood plank texture (marvalous for woodern floors)
the water texture (looks amazing)
the chest texture (again very nice)
rail track texture (just liked it)
the health and armour display
disliked:
no windows in the iron doors (just dont like the look of them)
glowstone (again just didnt like the look)
Ironblocks, constructs made out of iron looked very wierd and not like they had been built from iron
the round gui item slots (just felt off)
the signs (hard to read till you get close)
the torches (seem a lot plain compaired to everything else)
the grass very different from whats portrayed in your banner....for one its flat lol
as i say thats just personal opinion, i can see a lot of work has gone into it and it is very nice just not to my personal taste hope that dont cause offense
Thank you for the outside opinion and I will overlook and attempt to fix these issues. =)
Oh, and the case of the grass in my banner not matching the pack. You'll have to install a mod called wildgrass which allows those biome specific grass to grow and it really adds amazing depth to the game.

hi,
i downloaded the pack, great work!
ive 1 question: how can i get the gras like in the screenshots? they are so green and the bracks are not plane, and there is some gras on it. i have only plane brackets without more gras on it.
maybe you can help me.
thx
You'll need to install the mod "wildgrass". I have a link in the main thread.

These are the doors I'm looking for:
Thank you for the compliment and I have to agree with the graininess. That is a result of poor coding on Minecraft's end without having any form of texture filtering. I'm sorry. ='(
Oops. Those doors were placeholders and were originally part of the Sanguine pack. I'll have to fix that GUI. Luckily, this next update will give new items entirely. (If my schedule suffices)
O.O You should totally make that and a 32x32 version...
I would love to play around with it (16x). :tongue.gif:
I might once I finished this pack or get pretty damn close to finishing it. It takes a lot more effort than I though to simply resize it to the appropriate resolution. I requires alot more polishing and additional fixes/glitches are needed.
I thought I was fairly good with textures cause of my 64x pack, but looking at this a second time made me feel useless...
Did you actually draw these textures pixel by pixel or did you us RL photos? I honestly can't see this being drawn by one man, unless your like chuck close or something.
Mmm, this pack is absolutely beautiful. Been mostly switching between Piehole and Glimmar's Steampunk, but this may stop me from ever switching again. Forest-y stuff is especially gorgeous, as seen below in a pic from our server. (Using 256 version)
Thanks very much for this pack! The only suggestion I can make is to change the look of coal a little bit, maybe place it in the block in chunks, so to speak, instead of the sort of smudge it has now. The lava could probably use a bit of a change as well, but since I try so hard to stay away from it, not such a big deal.

Lol, Chuck does some impressive work. His artwork is still impressive after the accident as well. ^^
Some of these textures are actually drawn by hand because nothing seemed useful at the time so I just went from scratch.
Some fine examples being the lava and, specifically, the iron shovel was drawn from a blank canvas with Photoshop. I'm extremely familiar with Photoshop because that is what I was raised to used when I was younger and it just kind of stuck on me.
The rest of the pack is heavy photo manipulation. I say heavy because 95% of the time I'll change the original texture or picture so vastly that it no longer represents what it used to be. A classic example is that the clay was actually a small chunk of dirt found on a NASA Mars photograph.
Overall, I've spent countless amounts of hours refining and perfecting the textures and I try to make them fit well together. It's come a very long way and is far from being close to finished.

I'm currently in love with the wildgrass with this pack. It adds so much more depth and the forest scenes become rich with vegetation.
I'll try to tweak the coal a bit then. I have noticed a slight tiling issue when mining out massive veins of it.
The lava is certainly for another time. I made that entirely on my own. XD
already had the variation made where they don't wrap :tongue.gif:
Edit: and finally gave in and toned down the iron...lol[/quote]
Good to hear. ^^
I'm finally back home and had some freetime. I'm moving back on to the items.png:
Fishing rod is... meh, because I wasn't feeling creative at the moment.
Also, all forms of bricks are completed.
Did you run HD patcher? It's required for packs above 16x16
To each his own. ^^
Thank you for atleast giving it a try.
