waving wheat/moving netherrak/slowsand...waving tree leaves... specular lighting with slight bloom...and a little more depth to the textures... dunno how you dont see it >.>
hold a torch...you'll notice
Well ofc I see the waving wheat and such, just don't notice the 'depth'.
hi, so i have downloaded the 256 pack, and it all works fine and looks great,, one question though, my grass is flat, in the pictures it is long and has bushes, any ideas?
Are you talking about the grass top? (Biome)
Thats normal depending what area your in...
;P
I have that same problem...even testing with the patcher it crashes 5 or six times before it works... got a ton of error reports..which i sent in. it has something to do wiith the 64x java being a wip and all builds aren't stable. keep checking the java download for updates since the java auto patcher doesn't update 64x
video doesn't do it justice... water at a distance changes directions depending on the way you are looking like it normally would after looking at it too long.(which is what I was ultimately trying to emulate. now I gotta tweak the color and speculars. plus still water almost flows seamlessly into the flowing water...got soooo close
I will be away this weekend with the wife and won't be able to work on it too much. I'm expecting a fairly nice sized update soon, so hold tight. =D

Yeah I got a lil problem. I set the memory to 2gb and everything, but after installing 256x256, the game black screens and freezes. Doesnt even run past the Mojang logo. It may be the case of my PC not being able to handle it, but it runs many much more complicated things.....
Anyway, I use the patcher and it still doesnt work. I tried many times. I CAN test it and it works on single when I test it but thats about it. And I cant go online on test mode. Something is wrong but I get no error message. What could this be caused by?
In the mean time I will try a 128 pack.
This seems to be an issue with many 64bit systems attempting to run 32bit Java. I strongly recommend upgrading to 64bit Java and it really should fix most, if not all, problems.

Installing wild grass will resolve this issue as stated before. Just remember when copying the files from wildgrass, that you don't copy over the terrain.png or it will crash the game. XD

Fairly good rough draft. =)
The water doesn't seem to tile too well when viewing it vertically and the flowing water is unnaturally slow.
thanks, i will try that, however now i am having other problems!
I think most probably you have to log on through the login screen to go onto multi player. However I am having the same problem that i can play singleplayer with the textures but as soon as i go online it crashes and closes completely or occasionally says bad login. I have tried unpatching it and it works fine multiplayer, so then i tried the different 16x16, 32x32 etc patches and they all crash the same but work fine singleplayer. any ideas peeps?
I think it's safe to assume that multiplayer is far too buggy for texture packs. It does take up an excess amount of memory when playing multiplayer because the memory cache has far more things to keep track of.
I have 64bit Java installed and experience no issues with multiplayer, LAN and online. I don't get things such as character skins or wild grass in multiplayer, but that's a known issue.

idk..never seen that one before...I have never run into that problem personally either... what is the error # in the crash report?
edit: I know there is a way to get the report w/o it being in test mode...but forget atm
The error report generally is put into a .txt in the minecraft folder.
damn! you beat me to posting a boat...(it's almost done on my server...about to start building the port and more boats) ooh...and I totally hated the way the colors turned out on my water...so I color matched it to yours..lol
Grugs, Gimmie a blue flower texture that 16x16, I need it ;P
(Or scuttles. I dun trust anyone else with textures)
Err, I'd have to say not a retexure because I could do that myself XD...
Probably one with the big petals
