So basically ignore the better grass, but I recommend the "wild grass" which is all of the bushes and weeds popping out of the textures which give a really great atmosphere. Keep in mind this also takes a toll on the FPS and hopefully your computer can handle it.
To install wild grass you have to download the latest "modloader" and "wild grass" files. Then drag those directly into the .jar as well. It seems like a hassle, but you really get used to it and it comes off as very rewarding for eye candy.
I'm guessing you mean ModLoaderV4? The WildGrass pack here:
yeah...well modloader has a version with the biome sidegrass fix v4 of course..not sure about v5. also someone updated both sidegrass and better grass...but it is not compatible with modloader last time I checked
edit: I'm kinda forcing people to use the sidegrass fix for my pack since I'ts badass and I'm not gonna release an alt terrain file with 1/3 of a texture changed... guess I could add it to an empty spot in the png with the others... but chances are half of the people that download it won't be able to fix it >.>
here is your water/lava with shaders...after I changed it again...lol also they have bumpmapping w/o shaders :tongue.gif: (still have to have them installed, but it doesn't need a separate height map. custom.zip
Edit: @Pazaz yup...was time for a change..lol figured me all G'd out was fitting :tongue.gif:
Excuse my stupidity, but how exactly do you install them?

Ok, I'll help a Quote to unquote 'retard' out
put the contents from custom.zip into minecraft.jar after you installed lb photo realism...
Also
What it means, all those files are what I believe to be 'normal heightmap' and 'specular map' to get the bumping.

Oh okay, I thought this involved the GLSL shaders...
So just making sure: GLSL Shaders and the Minecraft HD Fixer are both safe right?
They aren't related to the highjacked accounts?
Kinda paranoid now.
Oh, and Modloader v5 + Mipmapping 1.3 too? :ohmy.gif:
you need GLSL shaders for the mapping to work. and yes they are safe! the hacked minecraft accounts are the the fault of the user that clicked on some unknown link and didn't have an antivirus software good enough to block malicious scripts from installing on their computers...or being retards and putting their minecraft password into a site that is not minecraft.

Oh, okay.
Thought it was do to an unknown MC modification.
Good to know, cause I'm not that stupid. :3
So which GLSL shaders do I use with it?
I'm using the default shaders that come with GLSL and see no difference.
I assume I need to use the Bump Mapping shaders?
(hurr durr, I know... :sad.gif:)
Edit: honestly, the shaders for the new water were thrown together really quick..they are pretty subtle..shiny as hell from a distance tho. the ones for the old water gave it a lot of depth.
aaaaand what I meant by w/o shaders was that the water/lava have working bumpmaps fused into them, the height map only intensifies it.
aaaaaaaaaaand...the custom portal is one of my failed attempts...ignore it...

Do you just use the default GLSL Bumpmapping shaders? Or is there another one that looks better overall?
the shaders for Balea work better imo..the working ones...not the full effect ones. with the standard GLSL bumpmapping shader and the Full Effect Balea shader if you are holding a torch everything gets stupid shiny
3 edits...too tired to type...lol
edit again...the shaders i use in my pack video are the Dax Nitro shaders and I do the torch thing a couple times...once right at the beginning
not editing it again...lol since Scuttles has helped me out so much I have been working on full bumpmap support for his pack when I get frustrated with mine and will probably have them ready tomorrow night..friday at the latest.

tbh it's really not that difficult to make mapping that works with the available shaders without modding the code. plus there are some really good modders working on new shaders that are going to be really awesome. (Misa is one of them)
Edit: a lot of Scuttles textures basically have bumpapping already, they just need speculars to pop. try making a copy of the terrain.png make it black and white, then rename it terrain_s.png and put it into the minecraft.jar... see what happens :tongue.gif: had it work on my stuff without height maps once I started to do the bumpmaps in the pics themselves. it very well may work on some of his textures. Hadn't even thought to just try that 'till just now...lol
Think I'm doing something wrong then.
I extracted the contents from custom.zip to my minecraft.jar, and installed the GLSL Shader Mod w/ the Bumpmapping Shaders... and I still notice no difference.
Hmph.
like I said...they are subtle.. you only really get any depth at a distance...plus the glimmering on the water thats far away. up close it's nothing at all. I'll make better ones.. I had the old water looking amazing. you could see a shimmer on the water all the way to the horizon, and anything more than 2 blocks away had depth.
I'm guessing you mean ModLoaderV4? The WildGrass pack here:
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=100771
Specifically states that it is not compatible with ModLoaderV5. Although they do say that there is a V4-compatible version of WildGrass.
So, do you suggest getting the V4 modloader and wildgrass?
Edit: the zip that I have for wildgrass has with/without sidegrass, client, server support and a reset
Wait, there's a working "better grass" type mod now?
But yea, if it doesn't work with v5, then don't run it with v5. =)
