Fixed my problem thank you for such an amazing mod and thanks everyone that helped make it.
Good to hear.
You're quite welcome and this pack wouldn't be what it was today without the help of other people. :wink.gif:

Currently testing this without mipmapping hoping bloom and ssao drown out the fuzzyness
Chickens always seem to end up finding me in the most obscure places in this game. I've had a chicked 24 above bedrock because it fell down this massive shaft in a cave.
Yea, the fuzzyness will always be there unless Notch decides to ramp up and obtain some coding for an official mipmap or some other type of filtering. Hope if works better than the mipmapping patch had. =(
I don't mean to bug you but. How do you go about making custom water and custom lava? flowing and still?
I tried taking the long custom_lavastill.png or something like that. and put my own textures in it and it doesn't seem to work. When I get into the game mine is just static and very, very still. Even the waterfalls are frozen.
Oh and by the way. These are all pretty wicked textures. Though I did take some that I had and changed a few around to suit my needs but other then that I think it is great.
ok..got the shaders updated for the new water(pffft) will be releasing it with my update tomorrow, so you get to play with them :tongue.gif:(they aren't as good as the other ones yet tho, just did a quick mock up in shader map pro and didn't get to refining in gimp yet) also got the shaders for moving lava fixed :tongue.gif: when there is a good bit(like in the nether) it almost feels like it's breathing as it rolls down hills and such.(got a vid just of that for you later :tongue.gif:)

I ran across a tutorial for moving water in gimp on these forums earlier..and I could mock up a quick tut on making animated still water like Scuttles has :tongue.gif: figured it out a few hours ago on my own hehe
Please help me, i downloaded the pack and ran minecraft and it was fine. Then, i downloaded the (or tried downloading the) wild grass mod. I ran the game again and when i tried getting on my world it stopped loading at the very end of the bar and stuck like that for about 30 seconds then minecraft closed. i can get on a new world with everything working fine. i have already tried the java heap size thing and the same thing happens!

you installed the right version of wild grass? b/c thats a wild grass issue... I have crashed my minecraft a BUNCH lately and every clean install I have to re-install modloader after wild grass...it isnt compatible but works if you do that
Edit: and hey Scuttles...found all the stray weapon pixels on accident :tongue.gif:

To make a custom.png "flowing try increasing the canvas size vertically by an additional amount relevant to your resolution size. A 256x256 would increase by 256 pixels vertically and a 128x128 would be 128 additional, so on so forth... Anyway once the canvas is increased, stretch the texture over the absent area and now the texture should "flow" accordingly.
Custom water was built using a program that was messaged to me. It renders seamless textures in which I've altered to fit the pack. The flowing water was created using the same technique but I generated it at 1/4 the size in which I copy an pasted right next to each other.
Custom lava, on the other hand, was created from scratch and completely original. I've added in a fairly minor heat haze effect using a variety of filters and distortions.
Hope this helps.

Very interesting. I can't wait to see. =D
The new water texture was worth it. Admit it, lol

Wow... using the 256 version.. looks amazing!
Sorry if this has been asked before, but are you going to make a cake texture?
I'm working on cake. I've just failed miserably to the point where default looks better than my hack job. Thanks for the concern and compliment. =)

hey um scuttles would you kindly make LB photo realism textures for the people that uses this mod? viewtopic.php?f=1032&t=191331
This is the second time I've been asked to do this mod, specifically. I'm more than interested, just my time schedule seems to say otherwise. I'd like to finish the base version of this pack before considering many mod textures.

That does indeed sound like a better grass issue or an issue with Java itself. If you can, download 64bit Java as that eliminated many problems for me (never crashes now).
I'd try a fresh reinstall of the everything and report back how it went.

Good find!
It just shows how sloppy I am ;P
I personally haven't had any issues with wild grass besides my own incompetence when I first joined these forums, lol
EDIT:
Everybody welcome our newest member to the biome family. =D
He's kind of cute...
This new update coming is looking fairly promising except for the artwork which is really difficult which way I want to go with.
I've been wondering this ever since you released your texture pack, Scuttles: In the name, "LB Photo Realism", what does "LB" mean?
Excellent question. ^^
It stands for "Little Beetle" which was the nickname that kind of stuck on my girlfriend. Long story short, my friend bought me this really inexpensive wooden beetle because it simply made my day everytime I saw it.
Thus LB = GF = The beetle

I'm going to pretend I didn't see that and come to say, I'll be bumping this topic more again scuttles, GET READY FOR MO' DOWNLOADS.
Haha, bumping is great just don't derail this topic. XD

So are you saying that if I use 256x256 I have to make another image 256 extra squares high? like this
and so on?
So are you saying that if I use 256x256 I have to make another image 256 extra squares high? like this

Haha, I meant pixels high, sorry for the misunderstanding.
In your example, let's say you had a texture containing 5 water blocks with a resolution of 128x128. The five block texture size would be 128 pixels wide and 640 pixels long. Now, if this was your "still" water texture, to make it flow you have to add another 128x128 square to your image making it 128x768 total. Then, stretch that 5 texture image down to the edge of the new canvas and it should flow consequently.
Obviously a 5 texture water would turn out horribly as the water would flow at a horrendously high rate. The more frames in your flowing water, the slower it becomes when flowing.
All of this I had found through experimentation. I never knew how to do this and no one really explained it at all.
Helloooo again, I have finished mapping 5 or 6 separate textures for your approval. I think you'll quickly catch on to my archiving process (0 is grass, 3 is dirt, 16 is cobblestone...etc etc) I just need to know where to send the thing?

I always use mediafire for uploads. It's a personal preference, really.

I'm not that thrilled about it. Sorry, just my personal opinion. You sure can do better than me though :smile.gif:
Just takes alot of time an effort on these higher resolution packs. I'm sorry you're not thrilled about it, but that's also why it's not the default texture of MC. It's a choice. =D
